The City of Lights

Recently, I received a summons to attend a gathering in the fabled City of Lights. Before you jump out of your chair, it was not Paris, it was I-City in Klang. It was one of our largest gatherings in recent memory with plenty of newcomers.

I picked Sarcast on the way down; as it was her first time attending our gatherings I was quite polite to her in the car. If you are reading this Sarcast, my politeness doesn’t last for a very long time muahaha. Anyway she was a nice girl so I had a pleasant drive down, despite Guin’s call urging me to come faster. I actually OFFERED to pick Guin but she refused, so SEE GUIN DON’T BLAME ME FOR NOT PICKING YOU. Guin came with Nelly, another newcomer, who is the girl who formerly had mashed potato in her avatar. Fortunately she does not actually look like mashed potato.

When I had reached and parked, this guy drove beside me and asked me where I was going. This shocked me somewhat as although I felt I was strikingly attractive, I did not realize my handsomeness would inspire random strangers on the street to talk to me. Then he asked me “don’t you recognize me?” When I stared blankly he revealed that he was Madballs. I’m sorry Madballs I couldn’t recognize you because you were wearing a cap the first time. So the three of us walked up to I-city; it was quite a long walk and we regretted not parking nearer.

When we reached, the usual people were there, as well as some new faces.

The couples were there:

Goonie/Wen – these two always look happy…
Alexa/Hammie – Alexa jumpy as usual Hammie tired as usual…
Dragon/Cindy – No need to say how sweet they are la…

Dai lou came with his food, which was one of the main attractions of the day. Skypie came (looked nonchalant as usual), Guin came (most importantly), Yueyue came (smaller sized than I expected), Dattebayo came (he looks Korean), Nelly came (hilarious new girl), Madballs came (how can a 30 year old dude look younger than me?), Wai Yip (Goonie’s gay? friend) and Sarcast of course had come with me (quiet at the start but can charge up). Most importantly for certain members of SC, Greenie came! HAHAHA

Once I came, it started raining. No idea why. We hid in an abandoned shoplot to eat, giving us a taste of what it felt like to be an illegal immigrant. The menu was:

Lamburgers – The succulent meat melted in our mouth, wedged between two hearty pieces of bread.

Meat balls – Tiny little meatballs which were nice to bite and were the right size to use for paintballs.

Mashed Potato – Soft and savory and full of that elusive potato flavor.

A certain food critic ranks the Lamburgers as 10/5.

After we had finished, the rain cleared and we went back to the park. People were everywhere, taking photos and walking around. The couples went to talk while we single people sat around and traded hilarious stories. I showed them a card I had found in the toilet earlier, which was promoting a certain, rather shady type of business.

Then the high point of the day came (Please ask Guin the details).

With that done, we proceeded to our main event, cutting the cake for Hammie, as it was his birthday. The cake, which I heard was made by Alexa, was actually edible to my great surprise. It was extremely sweet and topped by an unknown red coating, which origins I shall not speculate on. Hammie received a beautiful present which I thought was a time bomb, but turned out to be a poker set.

Some of us went on to have icecream at a shop nearby, which was expensive but worth it. Unker stopped by too to see us, and he had a very pleasant surprise upon seeing who had come. I’m sure you don’t regret coming in right unker! You got to see the mysterious girl in green.

Soon after that, we left to our next destination, a mamak. I must describe the lights in I-City, which were spectacular. There were artificial trees with colorful lights, a Christmas tree several stories high with blazing white lights, and various lights of different colors sending streaks of color through our world.

The downside was that the whole place was jammed full of people. Anyway you all can consider going there, bring your partner/friends/family.

We then proceeded to the mamak, where various forms of data were exchanged. That is a story for another day!

Notes on new members attending:

Madballs

Not actually the first time, he actually came to McD to support the free chocolate campaign. He is a great guy (especially according to certain parties), and despite what you may hear he and I have a very normal relationship. He is able to provide absinthe, making him a valuable addition to our power group.

Sarcast

Very nice girl, quiet at the start, when she warms up she can say a lot of interesting stuff. I’m sure next time if she starts up by talking more she could be the life of the party.

Yueyue

She looks like a small kid, although she is actually older than you think. I heard she lives in an ancient and rather shadowy residence, so I suspect her young appearance may be a cover for centuries of age. In short, is she a vampire?

Dattebayo

Tall and fair dude, looks like a Korean. If he sat down in front of a PC with earphones on I could easily imagine him as one of those Starcraft 2 progamers.

Nelly
A funny girl from Sabah, she is the former starter of a sad thread but now is very happy and (according to her) enjoying her single life. Guys please PM her if you want to make her happier.

Wai Yip

He has came too before but is still fairly new. Tall and handsome guy with a good job, girls who are interested can contact Goonie or me, small introduction charge will be levied.

Greenie (Adeline)

Wen’s infamous sister, known for her striking beauty which is only exceeded by her immense heartbreaking powers. Unker is ready to take up the challenge of facing her in battle. FOR NARNIA!
