QUOTE(nicholasbeh @ Dec 15 2010, 01:16 AM) just back from movie.btw, the Ovi Maps is tremendous impressive! From my house(wangsa maju) to ampang(tamarind),typical way is MRR2 which will spend 40 minutes to reach the destination depart at 7pm. HOW DOES OVI MAPS LEAD MEOvi Maps lead me to Sri Rampai then go into the Duke highway end up exit at Jalan Ampang.all the way no traffic jam and i just spent 20 minutes to reach there. However,im quite surprise Ovi Maps did updated for the Duke highway as well. GPS navigation can be hit or miss experience. For instance, it will try the shortest route but some will have preference to route through highways, main roads etc. The worse part is that it was not updated with traffic information. It will still route you to those heavily congested roads. Ovi maps and Google Maps cant rival Garmin for re-routing. You reached a very heavily jammed up road, do a surprise turn and Garmin will lead you still to your destination if there are alternative. Google Maps always tell me to go back to the main road.. Ovi not sure, lastime with Nokia Map, same thing...

QUOTE(Username is username @ Dec 15 2010, 05:53 PM) after long time idle, i need to restart my 3g connection. Why arr? It wont respond after long time idle like i take too long for reading a website, then when i wanna go next page, the connection stop responding. You can goto connection manager and manually disconnect the 'hang' session...

QUOTE(Username is username @ Dec 15 2010, 06:19 PM) aiya..just format it 3weeks ago. so its a bug. Hope nokia take note and include it in the next firmware. thats what i do.. Dont say its a bug... its a feature... Nokia is thinking far ahead... auto power saving... you goto your Windows network adapter or wireless adapter properties there see... Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power... thats what Nokia do... Later N8 fanboy flame you again...

QUOTE(Andy214 @ Dec 16 2010, 01:50 AM) Sadly, hardly any new exciting or good games. I think during N-Gage time was better. Imagine back during those days with Nokia 3650, 6600, there is games like King Of Figthers, Fifa, etc on N-Gage and can multiplay via Bluetooth, and the game can... urm... run on 3650, 6600, etc. Can play multiplayer mode via Bluetooth. Now is like totally different and seems the high end games has slowed down or no news for N8 or Symbian^3? Lastime where got IOS and Android? Nokia got Qt liao, it wont be long before we can play IOS, Android, Maemo, Meego, BB and Windows apps/games... that went through out the N8 thread from V1 onwards... Do people know what they are buying? Hahahaha...

I find that you like travelling... ever tried OVI to route you BYPASSING TOLLS? Garmin lead from me from MRR2 all the way to Senawang without paying a single cent in toll...

Anyway, Garmin looks mediocore but works BEST...
2nd slot, hard to determine. OVI Map has better navigation than Google Map but I think Google updating at a faster rate than Nokia for map details and now already on par with OVI Map 3D acceleration. It even make use of a compass now.

QUOTE(nicholasbeh @ Dec 19 2010, 10:19 PM) IMPRESSIVE!next time try bypass thingy.andre, now i only realize u oso 1 of the pro in bypass. u,agito, bbxiong create bypass club.sure pawnage. Dont waste time lar... those bypass is when during boring mode, just follow those taxi or lorry sure will find a way out. I dont bypass in KL... wasting time nia... In KL, you learn how to race against time and how to interconnect main road to tolls to get to your destination fastest... even parking is more expensive than tolls, so why avoid? Otherwise stay at home...

Bypass is useless one lar... good for avoiding jams...
However, sometimes even knowledge cant beat luck... when every road you turned into is jammed up, just sit down and have a Kit-Kat...
