It seem we need some technical knowledge to use the maxis prepaid broadband with the N8 (don' know with other phones). I'm using opera mobile and when the broadband connected and I start surfing to any website with opera mobile, it will open maxis website asking for mobile id/username and password, and sometime it open the hotlink wap portal.
After I changed the opera mobile useragent seting (using opera:config) to value number 3, which spoofed the user agents to IE8, then I can open the hotlink portal that showing my prepaid broadband details, then I can surf the internet like normal, after that the broadband can also be shared with my laptop wifi using JoikuSpot Lite (in N8). Setting that I'm using are, apn = bbnet, username = maxis, password = wap. Is this normal with Maxis Prepaid Broadband or it just me? |

QUOTE(SweetPuff @ Dec 23 2010, 10:42 PM) Alamak. My N8 switched off by itself and now cannot start try use the micro usb charger, put the charger for 10 sec and plug out for a few second then plug in back, wait for a while and try on your phone. How now? Or is there some way to revive the N8? Sending this to NCC means I'll be without a phone for my office work... |
