Hi Gal

the most suitable place is where you can learn all the corporate secretarial practice not only Sdn. Bhd. but also able to gain valuable experience in Public Listed Companies...such as experiencing in compliance with Listing Requirements, compliance with Securities Commission's Guidelines and etc etc...

My advice to you is ...you should judge the place where you able to have exposure in PLC and Sdn. Bhd. matters.. notwithstanding the place is a medium size or big size companies...if let say u work in big size company but you only experience in sdn. bhd. matter...there is pointless..however, no doubt there is for sure huge exposure in PLC matters gained in big firms such as Tricor, Boardroom, Securities Services, and Symphony..

hope this help ya.. smile.gif

Thank you so much! It has helped me a lot smile.gif 'Cos there's this company which is only medium sized that has offered me a job. I'm not sure if I should wait 'til there are vacancies in other larger firms.

This company only has a few people in the secretarial department but they do have some PLC clients and lots of pvt co clients.. altogether around 100+ clients.. so i guess with that amount of staffs in the department, I might be able to get experience on both pvt and PLC companies smile.gif

After gaining a few yrs of experiences in services line...you may try to venture into commercial line which is PLC in house corporate secretarial dept..as there you would have lots of benefit entitlement.

anyway...GOOD LUCK...hope to see you as COSEC in one of the PLC one day... biggrin.gif

In house corporate secretarial dept???
I believe every company just need 1 company secretary or just outsource the service to the secretarial firm.

every company can name several cosec which called joint cosec...usually for plc..they normally practice to have one named cosec...but also got their in house cosec dept to assist the named cosec...

try to look inside MAICSA website in job opportunity area where lots of plcs are hiring company secretarial executives or assistants in order to assist their named cosec...there are their own reasons why some plcs insist to have in house cosec dept instead of having outsource to outside..
