Once you try other brands, scivation is nothing. But then again, I rarely take branded whey. Still prefer ON or BSN though.

I don't take whey anymore. Blends have time release which prevents catabolism after your pwo shake till your next solid meal.

Digestion rate. While whey provides an quick absorbtion, blends take longer as they are a combination of fast and slow digesting proteins. So blends can keep your body fed and bridges the gap between your shake and your next meal.

And blends are more expensive.

Blends are more complete, ranging from fast to slow-released protein while whey is only fast-acting protein. They are more versatile and can be used as in-between meals and on the go, compared to whey which is only as post-workout.
They also contains a little bit more dietary fiber, they taste a little bit 'thick' compared to whey usually 'lighter'. Fiber will make you feel more full, but they are not MRP(meal replacement) and never intended to be.

ps : and no, whey protein content of whey and blend more or less about the same

For bulking = good. Milk = carbs. Skim milk in Malaysia costs an arm and a leg.

So far I've tasted BSN's True Mass (Vanilla), BS's Syntha-6 (Choc), ON's Gold whey (Vanilla), and ON's Weight Gain (Vanilla).

Best tasting one is definitely Syntha-6.
