Afizzat, do you have an iPhone 4? Because if you do, you can use the new Personal Hotspot feature, which sort of turns your iPhone 4 into a mifi device. Correct me guys if I am wrong.

By the way, the iPad 2 is getting bashed in gsmarena in the voting results, lots of trolls and Apple haters there. I don't think that's very nice. So if you love your iPad 2, at least pop over there and give it a good vote.

Did you manage to solve your home button problem?

I read in several threads (but for iPhone 4) and these two solutions surprisingly worked in quite a number of cases.

Solution 1:

Blast some air into the charging port at the bottom to release trapped dust (Try googling first, because I also read there is a risk of dust getting under the screen, which is annoying).

or

Solution 2:

Massage the two spaces on either side of the home button, >>>>>O<<<<< (something like that)

Again, the above was for iPhone 4, not iPad, but you never know.

Guys, I'm noticing a lot of these crash issues being complained about here. I notice it more than usual, and my feeling is because there is a lot of new buyers at once, hence a lot of guys who just installed a ton of apps on their iPads.

Simple solution: Restart your iPad.

Press Home button and Power button together, until it switches off, and keep it pressed, until the Apple logo appears.

In general, it is quite helpful to restart your iPhone or iPad after installing an app. This clears the memory and applications perform better. Try it and I think that most issues here, will clear up. Also, this is generally good practice after installing applications.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I just want to ask if ibook or any ebook store apps is fully open to Malaysian customer, I mean is there any restriction from buying some book for malaysian customer?

It's quite useful to note that you do not need to buy books from the iBooks store to use it. It accepts ePub and PDFs.

People with Macs listen up, a small tip:

Mac has a nice ability to save anything as a PDF under the Print menu. I find that for anything that I want to read later, its convenient for me to press Print, then "Save as PDF" or "Mail as PDF" and send an email to myself. You can then open this in your iPad or iPhone mail, and have an option to open the PDF "open in iBooks".

So I use my iBooks as sort of a bank for things I want to read later.

Bro, thx for the tips.
I did try hard reset like wat u mention. It works ok for a while then crash comes again after more usage.

If problem persist, where do I go for claims? According to the sales I need goto machine in mv.

No worries. Sorry it didn't work out for you. If the problem is really persistent, I would definitely go to the store and try to get a replacement. After all the money you spent, you should get a good machine that does its job.

I'm not familiar with the process tho, never returned anything so far, only repair on my MacBook. Maybe some of the guys here have experience and can advise you. Hope everything works out.
