There's no APR in ipoh, so i know it'll be limited to outside shops with most probably a higher pricing.

QUOTE(musicarvind @ Jul 7 2011, 09:28 AM) hey guys. i have this ipad2 and spent quite a bit on apps that are installed on my computer. my ipad is not jailbroken. all legitimate. I would like to give that ipad to my brother and get a new one. How do I transfer my apps to my new machine? And also how do I issue a new account for Itunes/Apps store for the old one for my brother? ANy help appreciated. the easiest way to do it is to authorize the computer that your brother intend to sync with the current ipad2 with. this way, he can sync and use all the apps uve purchased. you can create another Apple ID for your brother (for his own future use/purchase), and then authorizing his computer with the new Apple ID as well, so that his computer is now authorized with the 2 Apple IDs. the only thing is, if there are any updates for the apps purchased under your old/current Apple ID, your brother will still be prompted for the password of the said old/current Apple ID, as it's tied to that Apple ID. Do take note that there's no such thing as transfer of ownerships of apps (between Apple IDs), so if you want your brother to have access to your previously bought apps you HAVE to authorize his computer. Whether or not you give him the password for the old Apple ID is up to you. You can just authorize his computer and never share the password with him - but that'll mean he can't update the apps on his own.For your second last question - provided that you're still using the same computer to sync with your newly bought iPad2, you can just automagically sync your contents - apps/songs to your iPad2. Even simpler is to backup your old iPad2, and then setup your new iPad2 with the backup of your old iPad2. Transfer data btwn 2 iDevices/iPad Hope that helps |

QUOTE(musicarvind @ Jul 7 2011, 05:35 PM) Thank you Actually my brother is not interested in my apps. So its just like changing machines. I want to give it to him and so that he can wipe out everything and make it like a new machine. Is that possible resetting it? And then I log into my new machine using my existing account and it should let me download all the apps I have purchased ? All of this needs to be done without the use of a computer. I don't have anything to sync from my iPad cause I haven't done much such as notes contacts etc except download apps. If that's the case, you can just ignore para 1 of my earlier reply and reset your ipad to factory settings. do this by going to Settings>>General>>Reset>>Erase All Content and Settings. This will delete EVERYTHING on your ipad. <<http://www.tuaw.com/2010/05/03/how-to-resell-your-ipad/Further help appreciated. After that, you can just create a new Apple ID for your brother. It's a bit peculiar and a bit troublesome imho, but possible to be done. Follow this link here >> Downloading past purchases from App Store and read the first section. That's it Added on July 7, 2011, 6:40 pmp/s: when i say it'll delete EVERYTHING - i meant it will reset everything to factory/original settings and delete the rest of your personal data + media. QUOTE(moiskyrie @ Jul 11 2011, 10:34 PM) i swear someone recc'd some good ipad-only manga app some few pages back coz ive read about it, but cant remember what they were.i personally use Bookman Lite http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pdf-comic-r...d369540110?mt=8 it's a universal app (for iPhone and iPad). The app has a Pro version, but the Lite version is sufficient for me. Use this app if you've loads of mangas, esp in compressed formats ie .cbz, .rar etc FTP transfer is ♥ ㅠ_ㅠ Added on July 11, 2011, 11:56 pmjust remembered - it's somewhere in iPad Recc'd Apps. Do a search, im sure it'll turn out. This post has been edited by raeshad: Jul 11 2011, 11:56 PM |

@kevyeoh, definitely not. Every firmware is device-specific.
