iPhone 4 was launch in USA on Jun 2010 . It was available in Malaysia only in Sept 2010

ipad was actually launch in USA on March 2010. It was available in Malaysia end Nov 2010

So,  if it is like what you say, Malaysia is getting it same day Mar 11 ?? It must be fly in by some 3rd party guys definitely not by Apple Malaysia

I just received my ipad 2 today.. I'm living in the US currently.. Am I suppose to let it charge first or run the ipad until the battery is drained first? If charge first, how long should I charge?

But i'm wondering will Apple malaysia allow the 1 to 1 exchange for the ipad 2 that has the light bleeding problem since some forumers here say that light bleeding is quite common in the digital devices.... 

hi , would like to know, how much actual memory can be use/left over when it is brand new?

Let's say 16GB but we wont get full 16G right, some part of memory is occupied by OS n software, so how much memory is left??

My Ipad2 is 32GB, but capacity stated in Ipad is 29GB. I installed 37 Apps and left with 27.9GB.

I suggest buy the cheapest Ipad2 16GB Wifi only. Because Ipad is mean for a secondary pc to your laptop/pc and you don't really need so much memory. It get obsolete very fast when Apple release Ipad3. See what happen to Ipad 1 now. 
Save the money on the 3G model to buy a CSL android phone that can do wifi hotspot to share internet up to 5 devices.

I don't have much choice but to go for the 32gb since I would like to use the iPad2 for photos and videos.

Now the question is should I go for WiFi or 3G since some people said 3G web browsing is much slower than WiFi tethering from another Android phone (using the same network ex :Maxis or DiGi)

Agree. It was annoying, had to play around with the number and finally resort to using land line. I don't know why mobile number is so difficult to add.

Anyone having software crash issue on ipad2?

It seem i occasionally have application crash and it auto goes back to home screen.
It is quite random, not specific to particular app. Happen even on just safari, iBook and any other software.

Once a while it crash and reset itself seeing blank screen and silver apple icon.
Like to know if anyone else have this issue. A search on the net, seem many have it but have not see anyone report in lowyat forum

I don't understand why we can't make specific ipad related threads in the ipad subforum. Isn't that the reason why we made a subforum in the first place?

Example: favorite ipad browser poll, what colour of ipad we buy, all got closed by mods.
Can anyone explain? If we use other international forums as a yardstick, we can see they have strict guidelines also but I feel that some threads are closed unnecessarily.

I applaud our mods working hard to make sure the subforum stays clean, but maybe it's just that I'm not clear how things work out here.

Camera connection kit is damn useful. You can even connect a USB keyboard or USB-wireless headphones to your iPad.

I'm using switch easy canvas black and it really looks solid and good!!! though its abit heavy and bulky than others but i like the rigid and solid look of it!!! damn nice n class!!!

I saw the same thing in Kuching. RM170 for this. I tried fitting it in and I had to forcefully take it off!
But the on/off function works though. Just that the material felt very powdery as if there's residue in my hands.
Might go search for more.

Which iOS are you using? 4.3.3? Heard that iPad 4.3.3 users having WiFi problem.

Yup. Everthing was ON. Locate at the setting --> acc -->mobileme.

Thanks for your infor. It seems need to perform the reboot (Home+OFF). But I need to read it carefully before do the reboot. Incase it wipe out my data.  

The map isn't working and can't find my location too.
