You will need a US address (easy part) AND a US Credit Card (very difficult). Currently Apple estimates 4-5 WEEKS delivery for online order so you will have to wait. I queued for 5 hours on Tuesday at Apple Fifth Avenue store to get a 32 GB White wifi and a 64Gb black wifi (that was the only version available by the time I managed to get to the cashier with my ticket). Queued for 3 hours today and only managed to get 2 White 32GB wifi. So got 4 iPad 2 on this trip. That was some experience though. The temperature today was below 0 with some snow falling. Froze my butt for the last 2 days to get the iPad. This damn thing better be worth it.

You have to remember that the prices quoted by Apple is before state sales tax which averages around 8-9 percent so a 32Gb at 599 will come up to USD655 in NYC. Then again, if you buy it in EU or UK the VAT is 17.5%, which is a real bummer.

Edoras, I agree that for those who already have an iPad, there's no need for an iPad 2 though last night I had a lot of fun playing with Facetime with my 7 year old son on our iPad 2s. I never had an iPad so buying an iPad 2 was kinda fun.

Machines KLCC still got all 3G versions. Bought one for my father in-law for his birthday yesterday. 1599 for 16GB 3G version.

The iPad charger is universal voltage. The head will be the 2 pin version so you may need a socket adapter but it should work with Malaysia's 220v power outlet.

If you want to watch those movies and store it in your iPad, it's better if you convert it to iPad's screen resolution etc. You can try Videora iPad converter. It's free and works fine. Not sure if it can convert rmvb files though.

Hmm must check my iPad 2 for the light bleed problem .... will be coming back in August so hopefully it's already launched in Malaysia by then ... may want to swap the Ipads with a non-bleeding one.

You can easily register a US iTunes account. The problem is you won;t be able to buy anything there (other than the Free Apps) as they will require you to register a US Credit Card. The only other option is to buy an iTunes Gift Card (which was what I did when I went to the US). Once you redeem the gift card, then you can purchase stuff (songs/apps) from the US iTunes Store.

Not sure, never tried before. I think buying movies in iTunes is a waste of money. I'd rather buy a Blu-Ray disc with those Digital Files package.

There should be a tab where you can sync your photo to a particular folder on your PC, so anything from your iPad 2 photo gallery goes to that folder and vice versa.
