You guys can't wait for Ipad2 ? It is noticeably faster than Ipad 1 with new A5 dual core processor.

QUOTE(liverpool red @ Mar 22 2011, 08:20 PM) If u compare single processor with dual core and double the ram of coz will be noticeably different la in terms of speed and performance. I think most of the buyers of iPad 1 now are people going for value for money and don't really have too much need for speed. If someone uses the iPad for office or education, then a dual core or a single core processor might not be too much of a factor. From the video of coz la iPad 2 wins as it is an unfair comparison. It's like comparing my iPhone 3GS against an iPhone 4. Some people need the technology at a reasonable price while some need performance, I guess if u can afford it, pump RON97 but if you need value for money pump RON95. Both are still petrol and car will still run. For the price of RM1500, the options are a slower iPad 1 with 32gb vs a faster iPad 2 with half the memory. It's a dilemma all right but I guess it all boils down to the user. Just my two cents. Ipad 1 no Facetime + front camera whereas Ipad2 has it. To me, this new feature alone is worth the wait and the RM300+ price diff. (based on US499price for 16gb wifi.) |

QUOTE(lailaikatong @ Mar 26 2011, 12:33 PM) Queued up 12 hours yesterday 6am-6pm and 4 hours today 4am-8am at the Perth apple store and this is the result: The Smart Cover and Apple Digital AV Adapter bought separately ?![]() Loving the iPad 2 so far.. Camera is nothing to shout about coz the quality sucks but speed improvement is what I like most... Everything's much snappier, including typing, loading websites, launching apps... Hope this stays this way when i fill it up with media coz for now it's still relatively empty, gotta get back home before syncing with itunes.. Cant comment much on speaker quality coz i havent taken off the plastic wrapping Upgrading from iPad 1 to iPad 2 is like moving from 3G to 3GS.. Not necessary but you won't regret it at all.. Plus, white is frickin sexy! |

QUOTE(Joelles @ Mar 27 2011, 03:24 AM) You need to have iTunes for your Window OS, where it works as your media library and the same time it can be sync your media to your iPhone, iPodTouch and iPad with the provided USB cable. Synchronisation can either be automatically or customised to transfer your musics, photos, movies..etc for different supporting devices. iTunes is free for both Mac & PC platform, so download and install one to your PC to play around or googled to know more bout iTunes. PDF, Words, Excel and Powerpoint are managed by Apps, you can simply upload them to your mail and download to your PC. The iTune can sync both directions ie PC -> Ipad2 and Ipad2 -> PC ? |

QUOTE(pierrecool @ Apr 28 2011, 09:41 AM) hi , would like to know, how much actual memory can be use/left over when it is brand new? My Ipad2 is 32GB, but capacity stated in Ipad is 29GB. I installed 37 Apps and left with 27.9GB.Let's say 16GB but we wont get full 16G right, some part of memory is occupied by OS n software, so how much memory is left?? can the owner of 16GB, 32GB & 64GB share your experience?? thanks I suggest buy the cheapest Ipad2 16GB Wifi only. Because Ipad is mean for a secondary pc to your laptop/pc and you don't really need so much memory. It get obsolete very fast when Apple release Ipad3. See what happen to Ipad 1 now. Save the money on the 3G model to buy a CSL android phone that can do wifi hotspot to share internet up to 5 devices. |

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Apr 28 2011, 10:16 AM) QUOTE(raoul @ Apr 28 2011, 10:22 AM) I don't have much choice but to go for the 32gb since I would like to use the iPad2 for photos and videos. Yes is nice to have GPS but most smart phone comes with it now. Therefore RM400 saved from 3G model can be invested into a smart phone with mobile tethering and GPS and compliment the Ipad2 WIFI model and perhaps future Ipad 3 model. Now the question is should I go for WiFi or 3G since some people said 3G web browsing is much slower than WiFi tethering from another Android phone (using the same network ex :Maxis or DiGi) Is there a way to stick the Ipad on the windscreen ? Even if there is such holder, it will be too big right ? You save RM400 now. Your pay lesser depreciation value when Ipad3 release. |

QUOTE(shah05 @ Apr 28 2011, 12:12 PM) anybody here got experience send your ipad to service center?? usually how long it take time to they fix it?? yesterday i send my ipad to sunway machines coz my ipad home button didn't work I think it is because we have to use it to close/minimise application/window frequently that why it gets spoilt easily. Any one knows how to close/minimise opened application without using the Home button ? I wonder why no "X" close button on all apps to close the apps by finger tapping. |

Let's say a father bought 3 ipad2 for himself, wife and son each. Each of them registered their Ipad2 with their respective Apple ID accounts. One day the father purchased the iWork for his iPad using his Apple ID. Can the father connect his wife and son's iPad (which was registered under their respective Apple ID) and login to his iTunes account with his apple ID to sync the already paid iWork for his wife and son's iPads ?

QUOTE(sunyen @ May 1 2011, 01:53 PM) you can, but it will be a pain everytime there's an updates of apps friends need to get your password login and logout, forgetting which login bought which apps, charged wrongly, keeping track, and possibility of Apple detecting abnormal usage of one purchased on lots of different devices, blacklisting the account etc. App developer also, in this case Apple, has 'trojan' detector built in their app. Thank for sharing.Another thing is you are not actually reselling just iWork to your friends but every single apps you purchased with that account, unless you create one account for one app to resell and using a fake name, address and gift card credit instead of actual credit card. I personally have 2 separate accounts, one Malaysia iTunes store (registered when I first use iPhone) and later a much better US iTunes store (with all the extra apps etc), and I can tell you it's a pain to maintain. I ve countless time made accidental purchases with the wrong account. It's so frustrating that I have repurchased all the apps from the now abandoned Malaysia store and use solely the US account for all my apps. But I do share my apps with my partner since it's one same login for all our devices QUOTE(merchant9 @ May 1 2011, 04:46 PM) The camera is quite a disappointment. I wonder if my camera is already running at the max megapixels because it looks rather pixelated. If u use window os, create a new user account to sync 2 diff iPads separately. By the way I have iTunes for my iPhone 4 and do not want it to sync the app and data of my iPad 2. How to I configure 2 device profiles for these two items? Yesterday I tried to activate my iPad 2 and it nearly sync all my iTunes data (from iPhone 4) to my iPad 2. Luckily I cancelled sync in time. Anyone can guide me? |
