hi guys..
basic story is im a x-user of android..
owned plenty of android device previously.. (swapping and trading)
last devices use was atrix 4g.. the best adroid machine ever used.. fast..
im also just owned a macbook pro.. (trade in oso wif my acer)
after owned the mac.. i just fall in love with apple os.. at this point i mean im interested on ios devices..
mac os is super simple until it feel rarely lag or freeze (not like windows).. i just hope that ios oso same..
so i decide to grab one.. sold my atrix..

went to switch outlet and had a chance play around wif the ipad2 (its wifi only model).. but what it looks like it now what im expect from that dual core gear..

saw plenty of review on youtube.. most of them test out ipad2 and comparing wif ipad1 and iphone4.. they got result with not even single rendering ( i mean the square tile things when we quickly pinch to zoom in and out).. but i got that thing shown.. to be honest.. yes i did test it just too fast pinch to zoom in and out that i believe not normal for regular use.. but i tought ios + dual core cpu can handle it.. tried it on my fren ip4.. no rendering issue.. not yet try on ipad1..

gaming.
i try to play angry bird hd. looks like im playing it with a intel celeron processor.. its not lagging.. but the graphic just like playing 18 frame per sec video.. try play angry bird rio hd.. this game work fine pulak.. err.. what happen.. any incompatibility issue.. i thought there shud be no compatibility issue on apple device.. they own all the software and hardware..

android/windows behavior.
the things that i hate about android is the freezing period issue.. just like windows, even you owned super high end spec with cost over RM10K oso i bet will face this issue.. not 30 sec freeze.. im talking about some 0.5 sec freeze that might occur 1 or 2 time per session.. sumtime 0 time per session.. but mostly will happen per session in windows and android.. mac oso got this.. but it happen like 1 or 2 time per 100 session.. but when i test it on ipad2.. it met few 0.5 sec freezing period.. just like android.. like when waiting keyboard open.. like double tap on home button to bring task multitask.. swiping gesture.. i just sometime happen.. sumtime ok.. a bit disappointment for a demo unit.. (if this thing not happen to other)

my pro and con list

iphone4 - nice retina display and good camera.. but small..
ipad1 - big screen and nice square shape but no camera and 50% less harware spec..
ipad2 - big screen, thin, got camera, high spec hardware but problem like i mention above using demo unit.
ipod tough 4th gen - nice display, thin but small, bad camera and no 3g.

so the Question is..
anyone experience same problem? izzit worth for me to grab an ipad2? or shud i get and iphone4 or ipad1.. i wont go for ipod touch coz no 3g.. i need portable internet..
but fyi.. im using this smartphone/tablet things not for daily phone.. i got myself a cheap nokia phone for sms and call.. summore need me to recharge only once a week.. so i just use them for my internet on the go device and sumtimes for game or fun apps.. so phone function not considered an extra point..

please help me out if u got time go thru reading my stupid self argument..

Definitely worth getting an iPad 2. In fact, all of my friends are using it except me only which using iPad 1.

But ask yourself which is in your top priority list. Phone or tablet

u are just like me, a fon for sms and calls should suffice, however i hav a ipad 1, 3G+ wifi. Infact i would rather use it on wifi (mifi via maxis sim card) cause its much faster compared to using a sim card on the ipad itself.

hav you tried Motorola Xoom, its on Honeycomb OS 3.X now. I sold off my Galaxy Tab because of the lagging effect ( as i also own a Samsung Galaxy S which is fast with no lag, as a internet device when on the go)

Well, it's not something that you're going to change often so consider your "investment" worthwhile especially if you'll fully utilize it.

hi, i've bought a new ipad 2.. when i restore it based on the latest file i synced on my old ipad, the apps don't seem to be there.. shouldnt it be restored to exactly the same state as my old ipad? what about the data in the apps i had?

Have you authorised your new ipad2 in your itunes yet?

yup already authorised.. it's the same pc i used for my ipad 1.. same itunes acc... for eg, books in my iBooks app are all gone, PDFs too... all these are not saved when i backup? thanks for your reply

oh ya, but then for apps like my VLC player.. the movies i had in there previously are now still available when i open the app... weird..

You still can download or your purchased apps using appstore on ipad2 just login with your current usename. And go to purchased.

My 1st screwup with itunes.
Plugged ipad to pc, itunes poped up.
Auto sync, i clicked something forgot what.
Later when i on the ipad, realise 10+ games deleted... fuuuuuu

just notice 4.3.5 update is out!.. ou ya, wan ask, anyone face problem with date ?

my date suddenly it change become 2543 BE (year) i have no idea how that happen

Just go to setting/general/international/calendar and choose Gregorian, your time and date will back to normal.
