A German game developer studio, Firehazard Studio has announced that they will produce a game based upon the highly popular 80′s cartoon, Saber Rider and the Star Sherrifs.





The game is planned to be released in the 3rd quarter of 2011. It’s being developed for the newly announced Nintendo 3DS and also the Apple iPhone with more devices to be announced later on.
It will include all of the original characters presented in a new “Artstyle” version done by Patrick Reinemann / Reinemann Illustrations and soundtrack from Dale Schacker.
The cartoon, which is based upon the Japanese anime Sei Jūshi Bismark (星銃士ビスマルク) was highly popular in the US and Germany during the 80′s and has a cult following ever since.

Wow, this is so weird. I always mumble to myself (in Peter Cullen's voice!) the Ramrod transformation sequence. I like how Ramrod says "Acknowledged, April". Then depending on number of enemies, he'll say "Ramrod challenge faced: one". Not hoping for much though.

when ever Ramrod draws the guns from everywhere including his tits, I switch to another channel.Shows over folks.

Yeah, I know. What I was trying to say is that Ramrod is self aware. He acknowledges April's request (command?) to transform. And he's aware of the threat level faced. I think I remember Ramrod commenting there's gonna be 3 challenges to be faced.

well whatever it is..this show got one hell of a bad ass theme song

i have and rewatched all the episodes ... there is no such thing as 3 challenges like u mentioned ....regarding the number of enemy he faced ... most of the time there will be only 1 renegade unit .. except for the finale ..... anyhow hope this game will make it to ps3 platform .. will definitely get it for childhood sake ...

Whoops. My bad then. Because I haven't exactly watched every single episode of cartoons back then. This also applies to Voltron, Silverhawks, Thundercats... never mind. Anyway. I don't think they'll port it to any of the major consoles though. There was a Voltron game for Iphone some time ago. That game had the best pause jingle ever! (Go Google what I'm talking about). But seriously, where did you get all the Saber Rider episodes? Boxset?
