that's quite contradictory...you mean you getting the 12feet wire as backup? or to link ps3 to amp/wireless router? ps3 > amp/wireless router > *wireless signal* > astros = correct? |

the Optical Cable is for connecting directly for the mixamp.. enable u to get 7.1 surround sound.. if u don't buy mixamp.. surround sound will be 5.1 since u buy the wireless system.. it's gonna rock the wax out of ur ears dude... omg i want this thing real bad! |

If u don't have mixamp = no ps3 plugging..now MixAmp 5.8 gives you access to PS3 , PC rather than XBOX only. Now the package will give mixamp one..you can't buy the headset without it.
