If I flash to stock xxjpu using odin, I can opt to flash only the modem n pda, right? I dont hv to flash the csc portion,right? By doing this, my csc or product code or apn will remain,right?

if I flash fr stock dxjpa to stock xxjpu wth odin, can I just flash the pda n modem parts n not the csc? App ur opinion.

I tot it says on 1st page, can mix pda or modem fr different region ma? CSC for dxjpa is for this region, so I tot better to maintain this region's CSC by not flashing it to some foreign region. Not correct ah?

I think u can extract the zImage file fr dxjpa rom, tar it n flash with odin. I hv not tried it but someone said it works. Previously, I extracted it n replaced it in speedmod kernel n flash in odin but it failed.

Anyone flash with this combination b4:

Pit:512
PDA: XXJPU
MODEM: XXJPU
CSC: DXJPA

Any problem? And whn u type *#1234#, wht CSC file, do u see? Can u get maxis or Digi setting whn u flash this way?

I flash to xxjpu stock. Now cant connect to kies to retrieve my contact. How to get back contact by synching wth google? Please help.

Guys, I hv gone over to the dark side, v5.5. :-) Gosh, this phone really flies now. Very happy wth it. Havent tested the gps yet, though.

Thnks rainbow6. U r a life saver. I ll try tht if I flash again in future. I just finished keying in my contacts one by one after tht stupid kies failed me. Cant connect wth it after flashing to darky 5.5.

google is your best fren.. all u need to do, export your contacts to the external SD, get the vcf file..
then, get a method to combine all your vcf into just one vcf file.. import that to google and walla!  thumbup.gif

I hv sent all my contacts as .vcf to gmail. How do I import them to contact in gmail? Sorry, noob wth gmail.

Now, this is something I dont understand. My sim card was empty. Not sure I hv accidentally erased thm the last time or it was wiped out in the flashing? I didnt remove my sim. hmm.gif

Oh my goodness. Just online wth wifi for 15 mins n my battery level drops fr 96 to 86%. If idle, its ok. Went to bed at 12 n woke up at 7, my battery only list 3% fr 96 to 93. Darky 5.5 is a real juice sucker.

8% per hour. Wow, tht's very good. Mine drops 12% every half hour of continuous use(wifi on). U can actually see it drop min to min. Lol. However, on standby, its very good. Overnite, it drops only 1% over 7 hours.
