Just connect using normal RCA or S-video cable. I'm sure your LCD TV would have either one of those inputs.

Looks like your TV doesn't have enough of the inputs that you need.

Does it have component input? If so, then change to new Astro decoder with component out.

But this is still nothing compare to the HD fromAstro B.yond (for some of the better HD programmes) and to do justice to your LCD TV, spend that RM20 per month loh. And your LCD got so many HDMI input ports some more.......wasted lah! Just my view, the choice is yours. whistling.gif

Pre Astro beyond were designed for most CRT TV's. Even programs are 4:3 ratio. Then most TV's including HD Ready TV's had S-Video input, which could be a bonus connection for better than RCA input.
I've observed most current LCD TV's have done away with S-Video, that leaves RCA connection only. If TV haven't any S-Video input, than it leaves no choice but RCA connection only. What to do?.. backward compatibility to older connections for TV ain't always ideal.
For the old Astro decoder, S-Video output is superior to RCA v-out by some margin.

Not worth it. TV already has built in upscaler. SD picture won't improve much with RM 300 upscaler. Better use the RM300 to subsribe to Byond. That's a 15 months subscription already.

If you still want to maintain your SD channels, just use component cables to your HD TV. It'll look better than standard composite cables.

My personal opinion, juz upgrade to Astro B.yond for only RM20 per month. Come on, that's about RM0.66 sen per day.

Spend time with your kids watching tv. Watch with them Nat Geo and History channels in HD. You will never know how a HDTV can brings ur family closer.

P/S: i'm not working with Astro or any of HDTV manufacturer. haha :-D

Just spend extra RM20 per month or upgrade one of your DVD player to BD player or upscale/upconvert 1080P DVD player which us HDMI input then you can use RCA for your astro but it is pretty suck PQ.
