it's from k320i after 3yrs of usage.

i also have no idea, but should be from small aircraft la i think.
the operation is simple.
as aircraft climbs, ambient pressure drops, then the stacked (3 pieces for more sensitivity) aneroid wafers expands and moves the pointer. (pointer not in picture, but is put in the middle hole la.. the big "gear" is to adjust the scale or set at 0 position, just like our bathroom scale)
the "metal" holding the wafers is to compensate thermal expansion, so, during hot condition, the wafers cannot over kembang, which will gives incorrect vertical speed reading. when in ice or cold climate, the metal will allow the wafer to expand at same rate..
also, i think there should be a spring loaded mechanism to eliminate backlash for sensitivity (gear teeth must contact at all times, no freeplay)

cheap place to buy wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers and all...

the tools are made in china, but the quality is comparable to better brands.. of course not in the same league as snap-on, proto, craftsman etc lah..

Closed for Adidas King Of The Road, I was there as a volunteer. My job is simple, to make sure all runners make the u turn and run over the sensor..
