motion interpolation is an internal TV post processing,
which means it accept 60hz in, double the frame (frame interpolation), then preview it at 120hz.

most tv that have this feature dont really accept 120Hz, 75Hz may be, even they claim have 240Hz, 480Hz or 1MHz.
using this feature really great when you don't required real time display, like watching movie or live TV.
but playing game or using as PC display, you will notice a little bit delay, about 1s, which is not good.
that why tv have a game mode for real time view.

yeap agree... watching movies in 120hz smooth display is fun but fake... (after some time watching)

no offence but I prefer the native 24p playback in movies... look more real...

and if you plug into VGA port the TV will remove this option by default and you cannot switch it on...

HDMI connection you have options you can turn it on or OFF (Game mode / Sports Mode)

but to me I prefer native 24p or 30fps movies which look real to me... dont like the fake-ness
