guys, chill la..u see, when some people have to make a new account to cause trouble here, it shows that they are jealous, especially at the fact that we can get mostly a lancer at 90k...that is why they cant control their frustration...look at the bright side, this shows that this inspira meant something to them.

have to wait...although it sometimes get too frustrating..dont forget, in OCT2011, they'll proton-ize the inspira for export...not a good thing when proton starts to touch the car.

nvm la...as long as the drivetrain is ORI FROM JAPAN, its ok.

4,000 units of Proton Inspira sold since launch

ALOR SETAR: Proton Holdings Bhd announced that 4,000 units of Proton Inspira have been sold throughout the country since its launch in November.

Proton managing director Datuk Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir said the latest model launched by Proton had received tremendous support from the people of Malaysia.

“The model has managed to inspire many and fulfil their ambition to own their dream car,” he told reporters after launching the Proton 1Malaysia Festival here on Sunday.

Syed Zainal Abidin said Proton also has plans to release a ‘Pahlawan’ (Warrior) series for the local market, featuring five renowned warriors in Malacca, namely Hang Tuah, Hang Jebat, Hang Lekir, Hang Lekiu and Hang Kasturi.

The five ‘Pahlawan’ models were displayed at the recent Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2010, he said.-Bernama

Proton to build sports car

KOTA BARU: Proton plans to produce a two-seater sports car in two years.

Proton corporate planning general manager Dr Badrulhisham Mohd Ghazali said the vehicle would not be a hatchback type like Satria Neo but would look like a Lotus.

"It's at the planning stage. We'll see in a year or one and a half," he told reporters after giving away school bags to 47 orphans during Proton Carnival here today.

He said Proton was serious in meeting the aspirations of Malaysians and was committed to introducing a new model every five years.

A new platform for Proton Saga would also be introduced in five years, he added.

"Presently, the Saga uses the platform or chassis of the Savvy and it has been in use for eight years.

"We won't stop there. The Saga FL was introduced last week in quick response to people's needs," he said by way of example.

Badrulhisham said Proton would also introduce a new Inspira variant that will be fitted with additional accessories such as side skirting, bigger sports rims and a different interior.
