This is always the problem with our local manufractures as they dont plan their production properly and poor management of resources and personals

Went to EON Muar to service my waja and saw a black 2.0 waiting to be registered

Asked my SA whether my car, he said nop. Another customer who booked 22/10/2010

He said next black 2.0 to Muar is mine.

Hopefully in these next 1 to 2 weeks

I suggest just buy the fully synthetic oil (Petronas Syntium 1000 - <RM200 - sold at SC) and keep / sell the semi-syn

It will be easier and better to service every 10000km

Well, you got a very good point, if this is your short term car....
Just that after few years it won't be good to your engine....
Oil filter are made from filter paper mostly... So best way to know if the oil are still good after 10k is check the color and properties of the oil. If it is still clean, then continue with 10k once, else, better go for 5k service once.
Service regularly will prevent a lot of premature damages..... If just because want to safe some small money which lead to engine needs to be overhaul(worst case), which is better?
*
Newer cars nowdays with fully synthetic oil can be service between 10,000 to 20,000km. Just follow manufracturer recommendation.

Just because u service ur car at 10,000 km, ur engine wont get spoilt. Its when u dont service and trash it that causes the damage

I ask my SA about bringing own oil, say cannot, takut nanti SC cancel the whole voucher  doh.gif

Then come up with a plan, go service at proton, use semi after that go to personal mechanic

change to full synthetic lo  laugh.gif but waste the semi oil lo sweat.gif

In the long run, better use full synthetic
*
Just buy fully synthetic oil from SC and keep the semi. Can use it for another car.

Fully synthetic is better for the car in the long run
