There's no such thing of discount if you settled the CC bill before the statement/bill due date.

However, if you have other CC from another bank that offers balance transfer at attractively low interest; i.e 0% for 6/12 months, you can transfer the outstanding to that CC. By doing so, you can utilize your cash for other revolving purpose; not getting into more debts.

Make a wise decision.

yah, noticed that vanderbilt and rockefeller postings are similar (always mentioning enrich points) and both also rich. rockefeller has MBB WMC and vanderbilt dad has RM300K CL for CIMB Enrich card. But the funny thing is vanderbilt started a thread asking where can "cash" out from merchant in KL or something like that rclxub.gif How come vanderbilt no ATM card?

so rockefeller care to explain?
opjust: your statement that you want to settle all and forget about credit card is good. As for your friend, he is not the one being imposed interest nor is he the one paying the bills. The only reason that can justify you paying off the debt later is that you now at this moment can use the money to invest and earn more than the CC interest charges but I doubt that (unless you can do BT as David mentioned and get 0% installement, but you need to have anther card on hand and it takes time to get a new one approved, if you posted before you purchase the stuffs, many here can give you ways to prolong your payment with 0% interest).

Go read the thread on how long it takes to pay up your debt if you only pay the minimum. It takes years, Don't start owing people money, moreover you just married and your lifestyle will change tremendously once you have children.

Just pay off the debt since you got the money and start saving all over again.
