pre approved applications are made based on branch's recommendation but processing unit still runs through credit review before giving their green light.

maybank branches normally offer pre approved credit cards and charge cards (except maybank world mastercard and american express platinum charge card both are exclusively pre approved only to maybank PMW customers) based on a few factors which may include:
1) substantial FD
2) salary banked in through that maybank branch even though by cheque bank in and not via auto credit
3) hire purchase / housing loan / OD facility
