any alliance user here?

last week i call their helpline, want to ask regarding cc, but the cs seems dont know much sweat.gif

ok then i send email to them on 4-jan 09:16

received their reply on 4-jan 09:19! wah so fast! 3 mins only?

oh, the subject is "The email is an auto-reply response from Alliance Bank." whistling.gif

and today 6-jan (2 days later ~), i received emailed from them at 12:08 (PM) with subject of my enquiry "RE: Alliance Platinum MasterCard".

open the email, only got this:

"We have forwarded your enquiry to the relevant department to assist further."

"Should you require further assistance, please email us at info@alliancebg.com.my or call our Contact Centre at 03-5516 9988."

thats the email address i sent to b4, and thats the num i call before.

doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

My prediction is that petrol rebate would not be sustainable by the cc providers in the long run. Petrol prices looks to go up again in the short to medium term.
*
except for the co-brand card like cimb-petronas, pbb-esso/mobil, citibank-shell, etc.

coz if they also terminate the fuel rebates, then the card also need to terminate laugh.gif

Most of these cards' rebate rate is at around 2%, perhaps the banks are still able to hold it.
*
pbb esso/mobil got tier, more pump more rebates (max 5%).
also promo extra 3% till 31/3 thumbup.gif

rhb travel money give 5% on 1st weekend at all petrol station (cons: rm70 annual fee un-waivable).
ambg-carz also give 5% at all petrol station everyday but must have outstanding (cons: u will be charged with interest ~).
shell-citi also give 5% at shell everyday but must have outstanding too (cons: annual fee, and outstanding will be charged with interest ~).

Meaning that you put a fix deposit with the bank and in return they provide u a credit card with the CL same as ur fix deposit amount.

Like say rm5000 fix deposit, then u get the card with 5k limit.

err... this 1, confirm can get titanium? afraid they give visa gold or platinum mastercard? or we can choose titanium? biggrin.gif

If you do travel overseas frequently, recommend you apply MBB Plat MC where it gives 2X Treat Points (Petronas Plat 1X only).

mbb plat mc only? how about plat visa?

but remember, mbb plat got annual fee RM550 sweat.gif

unless they give u free (like me, they give me free 3 years, after expired another free 3 years thumbup.gif)

i did fd pledge & got my ocbc titanium, there are plenty of document to sign & got it stamp duty
however, bank still have the right to reject the application
btw, the min fd to pledge is RM3k smile.gif
*
this is my prob.

pledge fd is 'like' to show the bank how much money we can 'store' with them 'as a proof' to get their cc.
in my case, i dont have any prob to pay my cc (all no outstanding).

so as u said, if i do pledge fd with ocbc, they also have the right to reject sweat.gif

QUOTE(Faidzal @ Jan 8 2011, 12:19 AM)
Any chance of Direct access/CIMB giving petrol rebates again?

Dun wan to apply another CC just to get petrol rebates, I kind of like DA's Balance transfer terms (effectively 6 months interest free loan). No, i don't want to switch to the CIMB petronas card either.
*
no idea sweat.gif

go apply ocbc. no harms.
get 5% rebate at all petrol station.

use rm10k/year they will give bonus rm50 on 13th statement (to offset gst 2nd year).

PJusa, i wanna ask u regarding alliance plat cash back.

at main page shows "Up to 2.0% cash back on anything, anywhere, anytime."

at details page show "Up to 2.0% cash back on retail spend".

i know the cash back is tier-based.

my question now, is petrol included? thanks

there is no ranking of bank in terms of cc recognition.

there is only cc recognition of benefits (must meet qualification to apply) ~

*
if u always spend at platinum partners, then platinum card is the best (10x mr).

if normal usage, then yes, gold cc.

con = disadvantages

not so many merchant/store accept amex. thats y not many using it.

Oh.is November. But unitl now I still havent been charged the RM50 GST. I am a new card holder.Suppose once the card is issued and then it will be charged RM 50 right?
*
have u use (swipe) the card?

probably mbb charge gst only after u activated the card (using it).

like my previous DA plat visa, card received, card number appear online, but i'm not activated it, so balance statement is 0.
after 3 months, i decided to terminate it (look like i'm rejecting the card offered to me). no gst being charged, and till now statement is 0.

QUOTE(chemistry @ Jan 8 2011, 08:51 PM)
Maybe when you see those X become numbers, that zero will become RM50. Just wait & see.

if negative, thats mean bank own u. or in other word, u pay more than ur statement balance previously.

pay statement balance if dont want interest.
pay minimum balance if dont want late fee.

but the best is, pay statement balance. just ignore minimum balance notworthy.gif

what's the different btw PETRONAS ikhwan Visa gold and ikhwan american express/visa gold? since ikhwan american express/visa gold having rm130 annual fee.
*
mbb ikhwan petronas visa gold/plat - 5x points at petronas ONLY.
mbb ikhwan amex gold/plat - 5x points at ALL petrol station.

pls not that not all place that can swipe visa, u can swipe amex too.
in other word, amex acceptance place is a little bit limited.

all mbb ikhwan annual fee is waived subject to 12 transactions per card per year.
