OK i got it.
I shall change the sentence to sound more like an advice rather than an instruction.

Seem like discontinued. But who knows, it might be still valid.
Gotta ask CS then.

Giant - RM50 per month per card

The maximum cash rebate you can get from CIMB Card is RM50 per month, as mentioned by a CS.
It's not RM50 from each participating brand in fact.

Then it's wrong to say "2. Rebates are subject to a maximum of RM50 per participating group brand per card per month." "

I did dispute with the CS previously.
He insisted on max RM50 per card.
He neglected "per participating group brand" on purpose.

Maybe only card agent will need to ask that question.
I applied directly thru email. No questions at all.
I work in a small retail shop, FYI.

So far I only use it when I visit sushi king for the 10% rebate and San Francisco coffee... As well as GSC ticket purchase over the fast lane since I'm cutting my EON GSC card~

I got the card when I applied my personal loan..
*
Do u patronize SushiKing & San Fran Coffee purposely because you have discount privilege? Or are u their existing frequent customer before getting UOB card?

Anyway, if the card gives you the most reward based on your spending behaviour, then the card is a good card to you.

For San Fran coffee, yes..
Changed after knowing their coffee is not as sweet as starbucks!!
Which is 10% smartcash rebate including the 6% gov tax~

I visit sushi king quite often. with my sushi king member card, and uob's rebate, I can get near to 20% discount (10% on the spot and 10% for Uob smartcash) provided I spend more then rm50 there ~~

And other will goes to my ocbc titanium.

Uob one card series isn't really the best around, just that I happen to visit the supported merchant frequently. ( in my case: sushi king and GSC )
*
You dine at Sushi King quite often huh. What's ur favourite dish? wink.gif
And what coffee do u recommend at San Fran? Maybe will give it a try if I pass by.

They are absorbing the RM50 GST for the very first time.

It is a 'can win', not 'sure win' ? Hehe..
Btw UOB Smart Privileges does not fit to my lifestyle.

I have 2 cc right now. One for shopping & another one for petrol. Now Im scouting for 3rd credit card that offer high CL that have 0% installment easy payment scheme. any suggestion?
*
AmBank card.
Up to 36 months installment for purchase at participating hypermarkets.

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jan 4 2011, 10:58 AM)
SCB gave very high CL (double DA's CL) even i'm new to them.

We share the same situation.

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jan 4 2011, 11:21 AM)
Too bad there is no more discount at Starbucks since a few days ago. Only HSBC still gives 10% discount at Starbucks.
Or HSBC ATM card. The best would be one having the Standard Chartered Priority Banking ATM card though. This card gives fee-free cash withdrawals at all ATMs overseas as long as the ATM is on the PLUS network.
*
Do you like San Francisco Coffee? Public Bank debit/credit cardmember get 25% off on beverages, valid till 31/3/2011, 4pm to 9pm daily. (Swt, drink coffee also need to look at the time)

ATM cardholder of OCBC Malaysia may withdraw at OCBC Singapore ATM with a fee of RM2. Yeah, there is a fee, but I'm just sharing information on cross border cash withdrawal.

QUOTE(TeraPox @ Jan 4 2011, 11:35 AM)
I said... I'm glad to inform u as well... I decided to cut ur card... smile.gif
yeah.. i really need this... I drink around 10 cups of starbucks per week!
*
So how did the CS respond to you?

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jan 4 2011, 11:57 AM)
I think someone canceled his Citibank credit card a while ago because Citibank wasn't willing to waive his credit card annual fee unless he enroll in Citibank Autopay with 3 different bills but the problem was, he didn't have so many bills to sign up for Citibank Autopay and Citibank wasn't really helpful either. So he ended up canceling his card.
*
That sounds like me! tongue.gif
Not 3 bills but only 1 bill needed. Too bad I didn't have a single one bill to register AUTOPAY at that moment.

oh yea, thats true... i do have some bank which doesn't shows the interest rate that we are entitled to on that point of time...
never the less, if there is any finance charges charged on the statement which are not supposed to be there, even it's rm0.15 for my case, better ring the bank up for clarification...  flex.gif  having a "no payment" record spoils CCRIS~

i know my parents don't look at their statement breakdown at all, they only look at the outstanding, giving me the money and i do the GIRO for them ~

I manage all the cards of my parents smile.gif
I checked all the statements thoroughly.

The time I told Citibank CS that I couldn't produce any bill for AUTOPAY purpose, I knew annual fee waiver was no hope already so I asked her to cancel my card. She didn't even persuade or what, straight away cancel my card already sweat.gif

I totally agree on this point. Freebies are 2 way ... you gotta give some and get something back.
Even if you go supermarket, the food samples are incredibly small. You can't fill yourself up unless you go like 10-20 times. (or more) Not to mention where to put your face.  sweat.gif

There was a time I was in Klang Parade, doing my groceries shopping. Met a girl promoting Malta (non-alcoholic), what a coincidence I am a Malta lover. She begged me to help her finish some Malta biggrin.gif I said I was a bit full but I will try my best. End up finished 5 cans only. She appreciated my help anyway.

Hi everyone,

I am not sure which topic should I put this information. If moderator thinks this is not the right place, kindly move it to appropriate place. Thanks.

I just want to share the ATM Operating Hours of a few banks. After the compilation then only I realize MAYBANK and PUBLIC BANK do not provide ATM services after 12am.

Tried before. They gave CL around 1.2xsalary only.
How to prevent rm50 gst? mind to elaborate more..
*
1.2X salary is indeed at the lower side.
Best way to prevent GST is cancel the card.

AMBank ATM operates only 22 hours a day (offline between 0000 - 0200). Alliance Bank ATM claims their ATM go offline around 11.45pm everyday but usually it is already gone offline around 11.30pm. RHB Bank and Hong Leong Bank ATM are not totally 24 hours either. I once tried to withdraw cash from both banks around 1am and none of their ATM worked.

So, the information found at their websites is not reliable and not true at all mad.gif

just use mbb to pay autopay (direct debit) and pbb at esso/mobil so no need for high cl laugh.gif
want to shopping, use another plat card cool2.gif

High CL is important to me, because my colleagues always need me to purchase air tickets. They don't mind paying cc convenience fee. I am more than happy to earn rebate/points depending on which card I use.
