you mean they will charge the GST every year???
*
doh.gif

YES! every year! if ur card expiry date is 02/2014, then every february u will be charged rm50! sweat.gif

Added on December 19, 2010, 3:09 amgst is charged by govt. not bank.

thats why bank cannot waived it.

but they can give points to redeem (current card holder), or give cashback on new card holder.

u dont want gst, need to change govt 1st~! whistling.gif

but isn't the PB Esso Mobil Visa Gold Credit Card a "gold" card? It should fall in the gold category, right? hmm.gif
*
nops. read t&c here - http://www.pbebank.com/en/en_content/images/tc_db10.pdf

Exclude all Co-Brand Credit Cards

since the card have esso/mobil logo, it is called co-brand.

if your annual income got at least 36k per annum, just apply OCBC Titanium
the rebate is the top among all card

QUOTE(PPZ @ Dec 19 2010, 11:44 AM)
hmm.. so instead of sticking to hsbc amanah which give me nothing besides the 0.5% rebate, i think it is a better choice to go for PBB Esso CC? i am a loyal esso customer also. biggrin.gif

since u using esso, then go apply! thumbup.gif

its free for life with no condition. apply online so u can get 8% cashback (max rm80) on 1st statement. take it as to cover gst smile.gif

QUOTE(winner @ Dec 19 2010, 09:56 AM)
Talking about big swipe, I needed to pay RM80,000 within 2 weeks. I shortlised HLB Visa Essential, PBB Platinum and SCB WMC. HLB Visa Essential does not give cash back to offset the service tax for new card, while PBB Platinum's cash back and points are based on complicated tier system and PBB could not guarantee to deliver the card within 2 weeks.
*
1. HLB do offer cashback to cover the gst NOW sweat.gif
2. PBB Plat cashback system is not complicated as Alliance. it just straight forward count, not tier smile.gif

QUOTE(winner @ Dec 19 2010, 09:56 AM)
For those who are familiar witn SCB JustOne Titanium should know that this card gives 5% cash back for all types of purchases made on Fridays and the maximum cash back per year is capped at RM600 per month. The reason I swiped only RM10,000 on SCB JustOne Titanium was that I had already spent more than RM5,000 and SCB JustOne Titanium needs an annual spending of RM15,000 for AF waiver.
*
its rm600 per year biggrin.gif

QUOTE(yhtan @ Dec 19 2010, 01:01 PM)

Only a few developer accept credit card, normally they receive cash only. Seriously if every CC user like u, bank will be mad because they earn nothing from u, terbalik u earn back from them thumbup.gif  laugh.gif
*
80k usually accept bankers cheque. who want to bring 80k cash? sweat.gif

same as me. bank never earned from me! haha laugh.gif

'per month' & 'per year' is very big difference!
600 per year = average 50 per month.
He swiped 10k, 5%=500 already. Left only RM100 cashback quota.
*
yes i got it.

but he wrote rm600 per month, seems like can have max cashback more than rm600 per year, or if x12 its rm7200 per year sweat.gif

nvm. the max is rm600 per year, but not rm50 per month notworthy.gif

QUOTE(chemistry @ Dec 19 2010, 01:40 PM)
If it is true, then doesn't he make a mistake to swipe JustOne too much?

if he already earned some cashback previously, the remaining quota must be less already. Hence this 10K swipe might not earn full 5% rebate but the remaining cashback limit.
*
no mistake there smile.gif

justone give 5% only on friday, other day is 2%.

he said he already swipe 5k, probably on other day (not friday), so he already get back 2% which is rm100.
then he swipe another 10k (on friday) to get 5% so its rm500.

he also said he swipe 10k only want free AF (since already swipe 5k).

so he get max cashback and free AF thumbup.gif

usually people who use 'limited'/max/capped cashback cc, they will know/calculate regarding the cashback amount notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

winner bro, your previous 5k swipe was on what day? Was it 2% or 5% cashback?
*
yeah winner. pls reply! notworthy.gif

if 5k get 5% means already get back rm250, and if:
10k also 5% then he can get rm350 only (even it is rm500).
10k is 2% then he get rm200 only (still have rm150).

i think 5k is not on friday (2%, rm100) and 10k is on friday (5%, rm500) brows.gif

i'm afraid PB Plat visa is still tiered based
PB Master Plat get points based on tier as well
*
look here: http://www.pbebank.com/en/en_content/perso...visa_pltmr.html

swipe rm33k will received rm198 (0.6%).
its not 1st 5k get 0.3%, 5k-10k 0.5%, 10k-30k 0.55% like alliance sweat.gif

QUOTE(chemistry @ Dec 19 2010, 03:40 PM)
That's possible.
Even though before the grace period is implemented, the bank reserves the right to waive/reverse late payment charge & resulting finance charge. a few years ago I once forgot to repay my DA , already late 2 weeks but I tried to appeal, and the bank was willing to do reversal.
*
i didnt appeal. just next day after due date, i pay full amount like usual. then next statement no charges at all smile.gif

if u apply before 10 nov 2011, then u wont get la the cashback sweat.gif

thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

t&c:

no different, i'm not earning that rm50, coz i need to pay gst, which is rm50 too.

so better use another card that give cashback so i can earn more smile.gif

nops. but hsbc got biggrin.gif

QUOTE(winner @ Dec 19 2010, 04:22 PM)
During the time I enquired about this card back in August, this cash back offer was not in place yet. That time HLB only offered free points to reimburse the service tax payment. As HLB Visa Essential is a cash back card and not point based, there was no incentive to HLB Visa Essential new cardholders for the service tax payment at that time.
*
oh in august. its ok. hlb essential give 1% only while ur scb justone give 2% & 5% notworthy.gif

my card not petronas so got annual fee. they give 3 years free af before.
this year finish, but 1 month before expired they send new card.
i want to cancel. but they offering me another 3 years af and that 10k tp.
dunno why.
BUT, previously i use about rm30k/year and always pay in full.
starting this year (from october, new card issued), no more high spending on this card.
so i wil lterminate it next year, no matter if they offering another 10k tp.
