OMG, thats not fair.

I guess the cash back feature is given based on the system that is set at the first place the card is given out... ?

I don't have the intention of changing the statement date. That's why I don't worry about that, and I don't need to ask CS about this

I chnaged my OCBC Titanium statement date without noticicing any issues with monthly cashback also. DO NOT WORRY...

p.s. OCBC allow you to choose any statement date you prefer :-)
*
thanks for your input.
The due date of my OCBC and DA cards are the same, ie. 1st of each month. I already get used to it.
If want to change date, it is my SCB card that needs to change biggrin.gif

My CC due usually ~7 days after the 1st of each month.. just in case salary comes late
*
biggrin.gif IMHO cc due date should not be influenced by salary date. Unless the cardholder always use up the fund in salary account.

Try with CIMB Bank. Rumor has it that they are more lenient. You can also try Alliance Bank.
*
Alliance timeless bonus pts is good. No need to worry about points expiry date.

Citibank reward pts is also evergreen. The drawback is that there is no B&W annual fee waiver condition.

It is however, still better than many banks such as Hong Leong Bank, EON Bank, RHB Bank, AMBank etc. The points needed to redeem a RM50 or RM100 voucher is higher with all the banks mentioned.
*
SCB still has RM25 cash voucher to be redeemed using 5000 pts. Not bad. smile.gif

I want to share something about CIMB cc points expiry. Pls read the following reply from DA Customer Exec.

I would say the best redemption is from Amex and SCB, where we can redeem cash back. Also, points required to redeem cash are much lesser than points for gift vouchers.
*
Better news is that redemption can be made by combining Choice Points of several SCB cardmembers. No more worries of insufficient points smile.gif

What do you mean combining ChoicePoints ?
*
Hi ronnie, please take a look at screenshot below. smile.gif
Please note that only SCB Platinum/Biz Plat cardmembers can combine/transfer among their Choice Points. However, I think SCB Plat is not too difficult to apply now wink.gif

I will stay away from all products of Ambank as much as I can. I am now having a commercial property loan with Ambank, but its disorganised system and organisation really piss me off. This is my personal experience and others may feel differently.
*
AmBank never impressed me, neither bad nor good. I think one of their advantage is ATM at 7-11, ha ha.

Now many banks are doing 0% BT, but AmBank still keep quiet. However, its 36months 0% flexi pay is indeed appealing to shoppers.

Any OCBC Titanium paid for bills/purchases at U-Mobile ? Do we get 5% rebate ?

My friend paid his phone bill at Maxis Centre (IOI Mall), he didn't get 5% cashback but only 1%. Not sure about U-Mobile.

Dear all,
I`m new to credit card. Would like to know which cc should I apply if my usage is only for booking hotel (both oversea and local) and air flight ticket?
I did search through a lot such as rhb travel, citibank, hsbc etc etc. However my annual income is less than RM 30k.
thanks in advance! biggrin.gif

hi guys, just now i called hsbc and PBB customer service regarding the balance transfer. i am using hsbc amanah now with installment.
Hsbc customer service agent told me that i need to check with PBB because they are the one who charge me for the interest of the balance transfer.
I plan to apply for the PBB Esso/Mobil which is far better than my HSBC amanah card.
What you guys said about it? is it worth it? my hsbc card will be one year old next feb 2011.
*
will HSBC charge any fee for early settlement of instalment plan? How is the calculation of the fee?
you gotta understand the fee.

Coming Feb 2011 your HSBC card will be charged RM50 for GST. If you feel like cancelling the card, and you think the early settlement fee is acceptable, then go ahead, BT to PBB card.

You need to:
1. Ask HSBC Customer Service about instalment plan early settlement.
2. Ask PBB whether 0% BT is also applicable to PBB Esso/Mobil credit card.

U mean we will get an iPad after we spent 4k or more???  Is the prize garanteed?!
*
Guaranteed gift after spent 4k is a Philips 7" Digital Photo Frame.
The iPad is the big prize which everybody stands a chance to win. It all depends on luck because SCB selects winner by 1000th sms, 2000th sms, 3000th sms, until 100,000th sms...

I wonder is there really that many qualifying spenders sweat.gif

There was a problem with OCBC internet bill payment by using credit card that a payment made to TNB was reversed. After checking with them, it was due to technical.

I am really impressed about the customer service given by OCBC and I would say it is tiptop!

Anyone can confirm the annual subcription fee for SCB Business Platinum card. The SCB's promoter said the fee is waived for 2 years and subsequent years is waive by calling up to SCB. But I check from the SCB webside, the fee  is RM 300.00 per year. Anyone can confirm for this? TQ.
*
the 2 years annual fee waiver is written in their cards application form. Don't worry, it's true.
Subsequent years waiver is however not guaranteed.
