Want to ask all the BD sifus here since new to the BD world. How to bypass the trailers that autoplay when loading some BD? For some, pressing the menu button has no effect. In such cases I have to press Next repeatedly so for those with many trailers this because very tiring. sad.gif Any simpler way? Navigating DVD is much simpler!

What's your player model? I can do a bit research and let you know the outcome if it can be resolved.

It is the same as Andrew's, Samsung BD-C5500. But others here also need to press next, next, next; cannot be that they are all using this Samsung.

I checked on my copy of BHD, and ya, it freezes at that point. So it looks like it is in the master copy and not only your particular disc or maybe happens in the same batch. rclxub.gif

hi guys, i'm just have my Pana bluray player.
Newbie in bluray, so wish to ask is there many diferrent type of blurays?
Is it certain type can be played by certain player only?

Thanks in advance for the clarification

Well, a BD is still a BD and they should play on any BD player as long as the region match. Check my BD Player Blog below for more details. However, some older players may not be able to access some features on newer releases but the movie will play.
The 2 different types of BD I can think of is the original and the pirate copy. While the ori can play on any BD player (region matched as stated above), a pirate may not play on all players. Thus it is better to go for the ori and you will be assured of full contents both visual and audio as the ori is 50GB (double layer) while the pirated is only 25GB so there may be less extra and special features and lose of quality in the picture and sound. BTW, some older ori BD are also 25GB but all the new titles are 50GB, I believe. But be prepared for some disappointing BD quirks if you are new to BD. In any case, once you've experienced BD, there's no turning back! rclxms.gif

Talking of BD regions, I am just wondering why Malaysia (with the other SEA countries) is grouped in Region A, the same as in USA? Cannot be because of so many LYN forumers are buying from USA since this was decided much earlier. Or US want to take our money away rclxm9.gif Why not group us with Aussie or together with other parts of Asia? Any BD sifus here have the answers?
