Taken you long enough

Road to Perdition in my books is one of the most underrated Blu-rays released in 2010. It's an amazing film on an amazing transfer and should be in every collection for four reasons:

1. Paul Newman's last major film appearance
2. Conrad Hall's last film
3. Tom Hanks last great dramatic role
4. One of the best non-superhero graphic novel adaptations of all-time

Hall was and still is the best black and white cinematographer working in color.

But the other four:

1. Avatar: Special Edition
2. Saving Private Ryan
3. Seven Samurai
4. To be reserved for Inception

Can't go wrong with that. It has so much to offer regardless of the type of movie fan you are.

If you like good sound, take comfort in knowing the film was a nominee for Best Sound at the Oscars, If you like good visuals, it was nominated for Best Cinematography. I could go on and on....

Inception is awesome on Blu!

Work has definitely taken its toll on my BD watching. I only managed to watch 2 of my 15 unopened BDs this month. And I am about to further my studies in January. Bollocks!

The only one I'd buy on BD is Debbie Does Dallas, Swedish Erotica and Deep Throat. If any of these three are on BD, I'll buy.

Like nazmanson, I am a big fan of The Happening. I thought it was a good throwback to the cheesy 50s sci-fi films. I think it's one of those films where criticism is misguided.
