N who can forget d final scene in Aliens..

Drag Me to Hell is quite good. Eerie music score and good surround effect. My friends came over to watch this. One fella like loud volume. So, crank it up to -10dB. On one scene, when she reached home after being cursed, the devil came. 3 of them got frightened by it biggrin.gif Then, they turn the vol down to -16dB and off 1 of the subs.

Me at around -22dB, with Yamaha 467 and Wharfedale speakers.

IIRC, Yamaha entry level avr's ref level is not at 0dB. Do you calibrate using SPL meter? I have done one for the Yamaha 467. While doing test tone check, it hits 75dB before I am able to crank it to -6dB.

It is different from Onkyo and Denon whereby the ref is at 0 on test tone.

maskedchan, if you free, pls come down to Seremban smile.gif

Just finished watching Inception. The audio quality is quite good. However, the LFE sounds a bit strange but still can bear with it.

Yeah I agreed. The LFE in the Inception movie caused my SVS Sub sounds out of proportion. There are many over-hang bass which I have to lower its level.
*
the sustained LFE is quite a workout for sub. I am running dual subs; PB13-Ultra and SB13-Plus. Since I have a lot of headroom, both subs' need not work hard.

I watched a concert today too. This time, using 2.1 uncompressed. Very sui thumbup.gif
