I am new in Blu Ray movies. I would like to know how frequently Amazon.com has its big sales or special promotion on its movie titles ?

Thanks.

Oh, thanks for the info.

I am keeping some of my favourite titles in the shopping cart, which i intend to place order at one go to save shipping cost. My question is - would the item price in my shopping cart fluctuates according to the change in latest promo price ?

Watched The Hurt Locker last week, gosh......the low frequency of the bomb scenes literally blows me away. Especially the first bomb exploding scene, it shakes my house ceiling and outdoor awning.

IIRC, Yamaha entry level avr's ref level is not at 0dB. Do you calibrate using SPL meter? I have done one for the Yamaha 467. While doing test tone check, it hits 75dB before I am able to crank it to -6dB.

It is different from Onkyo and Denon whereby the ref is at 0 on test tone.

I don't have any sound pressure level meter, can you elaborate more on how to set the level properly ?
Thanks.

Guys, i have a noob question about movies BD50G being compressed to BD25G. Which one will suffer most degradation - PQ or AQ ?

I have yet to watch an imported BD movie at its fullest potential, so far i have had BD25G movies only. I want to know what i am missing (or rather not able to enjoy).
