QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Dec 15 2010, 07:01 PM)
Road to Perdition in my books is one of the most underrated Blu-rays released in 2010. It's an amazing film on an amazing transfer and should be in every collection for four reasons:

1. Paul Newman's last major film appearance
2. Conrad Hall's last film
3. Tom Hanks last great dramatic role
4. One of the best non-superhero graphic novel adaptations of all-time

Hall was and still is the best black and white cinematographer working in color.

But the other four:

1. Avatar: Special Edition
2. Saving Private Ryan
3. Seven Samurai
4. To be reserved for Inception whistling.gif
*
Yes Road to Perdition is good, but I haven't bought the blu-ray yet otherwise it would be in my list.

Can't go wrong with that. It has so much to offer regardless of the type of movie fan you are.

If you like good sound, take comfort in knowing the film was a nominee for Best Sound at the Oscars, If you like good visuals, it was nominated for Best Cinematography. I could go on and on....tongue.gif

Watch it on DVD last time really enjoy the movie. See if next month the price is still the same as now or lower than I'll go get it biggrin.gif

Valho, you're so correct about POTC, they got  the fourth movie! http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/disney/...nstrangertides/ Nevermind, if the price for the trilogy is good, I'm getting it.

Already watch the movies a few time so I can wait for now, too many other titles that I want to get biggrin.gif

Walt Disney Home Entertainment plans to bring ‘Tangled‘ to Blu-ray in Spring 2011. While an official date has yet to be confirmed, you can expect ‘Tangled’ to release in either late March or early April.
We can confirm that Disney does indeed plan to release a Blu-ray 3D combo pack and Blu-ray combo pack. Both include slip covers, but the 3D edition will have a lenticular slip cover.

Want to ask all the BD sifus here since new to the BD world. How to bypass the trailers that autoplay when loading some BD? For some, pressing the menu button has no effect. In such cases I have to press Next repeatedly so for those with many trailers this because very tiring.  sad.gif  Any simpler way? Navigating DVD is much simpler!
*
Nope only way is next next next next and next, yeah it gets annoying after sometimes.

Still waiting for my DHL package..........so slow as compared to standard shipping. All my later std shipping has arrived first.

Asked the DHL courier guy and he said he can't help without the tracking number. But the tracking number is no longer available. shakehead.gif

What happen to your DHL package? Priority shipping ka?
Mine shipped on 13th already delivering today.

But my UPS a bit funny, it's already in Sepang but the status say airplane late, even though it's already there. Still no status on clearing ketam or anything doh.gif
I am starting to wonder if UPS even work during the day

I chose Std Shipping but Amazon decided to shipped it by Expedited Intl Shipping during the BF sales. Earlier I could see the tracking info, and it mentioned DHL. That's why I'm keeping a look out for the DHL guy. But now, when I check my orders, I can no longer see any tracking info.

Maybe have to wait until pass due date and then email Amz US for resend.
*
ah I got one using DHL expedited but I don't think it's track able once it leave the US

I got 1 BF parcel due tomorrow, still haven't arrive. Actually none of them arrived yet doh.gif

1st time enjoy la, but when you watch 2nd time, it is irritating, some more if you buy BD which release by same manufacture (example that Disney) & similar release date, it is like watching the same repeating trailer, coming soon for fun tongue.gif

Mine arrived today morning smile.gif

Beautiful slip box, thick as ever and the cover art is amazing. Packaging is amazing. The slip box is bigger than the usual blu-ray box sets (think of spiderman, bourne trilogy, etc) and it's split into 5. Theatrical cut, director's cut, special features, comic & postcards and booklets.

hmm I think the shelf I use to put boxset don't have space for it already haha. If only UPS was faster, I would have gotten it today.

For each shipment Amazon will give you an estimated delivery date, if pass the date already then just email and let them know.

Hmm.. I ordered 9pcs of Bluray + 1 Music Cd (total USD 110++) on 25-Nov from Amazon US.
Shipped from New Jersey to Penang, on 1-Dec-10 but until now I haven't receive.
Amazon estimation is ETA today... am I the only "victim"?
*
None of my parcel ship using standard/expedite from Amazon US arrive yet, all ship end of Nov. so nope you not the only victim, just have to patiently wait. But since estimation is today you can email them and let them know, they probably as you to wait a few more weeks b4 sending replacement
