Just received The Pacific & Great Migrations..

Just watched 2 episodes of Great Migrations... the images are jaw dropping... simply stunning. The AQ is great... the ambience sound make me feel right in the wild.

The Pacific - this is my 2nd purchase of the same title brows.gif . The 1st purchase was a "jack sparrow" blush.gif BD. I'm very fortunate that one of the BD spoilt & the shop has no stock... they ask me to change with other titles... & at the same time Amazon drop the price. The pirate BD price at RM135... Amazon price @ RM147 (Plus shipping) thumbup.gif . A must have BD for showing off your HT.

Just finish watching Nat Geo's Great Migrations...

"Behind The scene" is the best... hats off & tabik spring to all Nat Geo's videographers... 25 days shooting just to get less than 5 minutes useable final footage of Mother Cheetah hunting... crazy!!!

Don't under estimate the pirate BD PQ & AQ... They’re excellent also.

This probably due to your LCD setup... & some movies do exhibit grains. But wanted & inception are great in PQ & AQ... at least for my copies. thumbup.gif

I believe our censorship board do a lot of cutting for the movie. Thats why the 3D version is banned because they dont have the tech / equipment to cut 3D movies.

Just wondering... I just order The Ultimate Bourne Collection [Blu-ray] [2002]... does all Amazon UK page price differ (cheaper) from actual order price when we click to order? This is my 2nd order from Amazon UK & its not cheaper because of VAT.

Pirated BD:

  • A lot having huge judder issue. It is damn terrible on judder when scenes rotate / turn around (either from left to right or top to bottom). PQ wise is quite similar, but the judder issue is killing me off.
  • Extra features will be cut off if the extra content is long.
  • 100% all is 25GB.
  • Some Sound track has been change to lower quality format, not the origin track. Example the pirated version I own on Celine Dion - A New Way, they change the sound track and all the extra is missing - that why I get original  biggrin.gif
  • A lot languages subtitle add on, which is far more than original, normally they will add in chinese subtitle, and due to a lot add in but it did not change at menu which means you only can get others subtitle during movie playback. Some subtitle languages is mess up where you choose Eng is not Eng but may come up is Fra and etc.
  • Some disc have scenes jumping or recording incorrectly.
So I still support on ORIGINAL BD biggrin.gif

I also bought pirate BD but recently the original from Amazon alot cheaper than pirate especially the boxset... example... bourne Trilogy pirate RM75 (RM25x3)... Amazon UK RM90 (plus shipping)... The pacific RM135 pirate... I got original from Amazon us RM147 (plus shipping)

2 version...

1- BDR-Z (low AQ transfer rate) Special feature mostly intact - RM18 per BD.

2- BDR better AQ transfer rate on par with original but special feature mostly not available - RM25 per BD

both version got good PQ transfer rate but unmatcheable againts original BD.
