QUOTE(StarSaber @ Jan 15 2011, 02:12 AM)
Guys....
Some question.

Last month Ive bought a Samsung 40' LED tv (Series 5). And now were thinking of getting myself a bluray dvd player.

Is it true if I bought a bluray 3d dvd player, I can watch the dvd in 3d galore eventho my tv is not 3d? If this is wrong (which I thinking) then I need to smack the salesman for telling me false info...

Cheers!

Bro, congrats.

Tele part is ok. I think you misunderstood. Its called 3D Blu-ray Player. Yes, you can play from CDA to 3D Blu-ray, i just don't get it why you want to watch 3D DVD on a 3D Blu-ray Player. Its highly recommended to get a normal blu-ray first.

3D isn't something fun for your information. Never trust salesman's word. Check on the web for more information.

Above is fine. Also, even you do not have 3D tele, you still can watch 3D movie. I have watched Coraline 3D version, The Final Destination 3D version, Monster vs Alien (BOB special features) on 3D. Just glasses was required.

I do not own a 3D tele tho. Its ok, some rather question others than helping. Nature.

It will be available in two unrated BD releases –– one in 2D and the other in 3D –– priced at $39.99 and $49.99, respectively. Each will also include a DVD and Digital Copy of the movie.

Watching 3D movie without 3D TV but only a 3D glasses?

Old style 3D? or those 3D on PC monitor (I read somewhere else before but didn't complete the whole article)? Would you getting same feeling on it compare with real 3D TV?

----------------------------------------

I believe to prevent confusing, is better mention watching 3D movie is required:
  • 3D capable TV (Projector, Plasma or LED/LCD).
  • 3D Glasses.
  • 3D capable Blu-ray / media player.
  • 3D version BD / digital copy movie.
  • HDMI v1.4 for output 3D source to TV.
** Above is just my though....

----------------------------------------

Anyway, 3D TV / Cinema (or whatever) still stupid for me and useless, only 3D movie is a WOW! when no 3D glasses is needed.

I just watch it once 3D movie at Cinema for experience the new 3D movie feel, it do cool but stupid.

3D on PC Monitor. I don't feel the same way like watching in Cinema.
I'd better skip and spend on watching it in cinema instead.

Actually, the 3D glasses are not that cumbersome as compared to the cinema's 3D glases. They are lighter and fit very nicely over my specs without any slipping. Whereas n the cinema I keep having to push the glasses up or tillt my head.

But then, a 3D glassless will be the best. That's why I'm holding off buying a 3D set. I'll wait for the 3D tech too mature and setle down first.
