I've just surrendered my old AstroMax and got the brand new Astro B.yond, despite the ugly remote control, it's B.yond right? Okay, I've got a couple of questions about it.

a) What is Live Tuner Conflict? I don't understand this! I want to change to another channel and then this message popped up and prevents me from doing so! It asks me either to stop or cancel my action? What? Why can't I change to another channel while recording?

b) Even I got B.yond, I'm not subscribing to HD channels yet because I still don't buy the fancy new widescreen TV (which I'll buy in a short time). My current subscription is Variety+Learning+Sports, let's say I subscribed to HD channels, of course I can watch FX HD, Supersport HD, but can I watch HBO HD? By subscribing into HD channels, do I have all access to the HD channels or limited to my subscription packages only?

c) What is the current version of B.yond? Mine is v3.0 ( or v2? I can't remember) so on, is that recent one? How to force update it? I saw Astro guy that set up B.yond in my house pushes some buttons on the decoder multiple times and then the decoder starts updating, anyone know which is the buttons?

d) The thing I currently hate about B.yond is the parental control, duh.. how can I disable Parental Control for a session until I turn off the decoder? I mean I can disable it in Max, but in B.yond, after putting the code, watching unprotected channel, switching to protected channel, oh my, I have to put it again! And again, and again, this is tedious!

Sound fishy, so are you representing the parent or the children?

a) Are u recording two programs at the same time? That message will only pop up when u're recording two simultaneous channels at the same time. Byond PVR (I assume you're using Byond PVR because you got free upgrade from Astro MAX) only have two tuners. Both of tuners already used to recording. So, u need to stop one of the recording to enable u to tune to other channels. BUT, if you want to watch program that already recorded, Yes! You can watch it without conflict....

b) You only entitled to watch HD channels that is based on your current subscription. If u want to watch, let's say HBO HD and ZHI ZUN HD, you need to subscribe Movie and Dynasty package to watch it. But you must take note, RM20 monthly for HD services are MUST regardless of what packages that you take. Even you only take Family+preview channels which RM38.90 per month, RM20 is must....

c) Yes, v3.0 is the latest firmware for Byond PVR...

d) I have no idea for parental control since I did not use it... All Astro channels already censored so much at AABC you know....

Oh, okay, actually I'm the oldest brother and I really don't like when my brothers watch Ceria in 6AM?! Seriously? So, I need to lock it hehe!!
