if your samsung dvd player can support WMV video playback, then just burn the wmv video to the disc like burning a document file. if you want to burn it into DVD-Video, it'll be downsized to 480p or 576p.

You can burn any resolution on DVD as long as it not over size of that DVD. But normal Divx dvd player cannot play movie file that more than 480p resolution
