i've received my kefir grains a few weeks back, so just to leave a note here.

i've been introducing kefir into my diet gradually, so far so good! i'm even sharing them with my doggie and kitty, one tablespoon each, and they love it. but hubby is steering clear from them, coz it's too sour for his taste buds.

anyway, i find the kefir tastes better with second fermentation, meaning after we sieve out the grains, instead of keeping the harvested kefir straight into the fridge, i cover it with an air-tight lid and put it at room temperature for a few hours more. then only i pop them into the fridge. i find by doing this, the taste is smoother and it has a slight effervescent taste to it
