Buying Tenaga shares is like putting money into fixed deposit. The dividend yield is 5% last year.

Last yr dividend is not realistic cos higher than usual.

Let’s wait for this year result. FY2020 - Dividend declared will definitely be lowered but I think this company has great fundamentals.

Quick check, tnb dividend is tax free? Last one I received seemed to have no tax portion.

Malaysia is under the single-tier tax system. Dividends are exempt in the hands of shareholders.

Which bank can give dividen]fixed deposit] more than 5%?
*
Last year most of them banks gave more than 5%.

This year because MCO - banks give loan moratorium to borrowers. Revenue slightly affected.

PM announced that special electricity bill discount of 10% from January to March 2021 to six business sectors nationwide — hotel operators, theme parks, convention centers, shopping malls, local airline offices, travel agencies.

That is my opinion - the share price slides further yesterday.

My two cents:

1) high volume of disposal of shares by institutional investor like EPF, KWAP;
2) discount provided to customers (affect the profit etc)

Buying for retirement. Assuming in 20 years time or so. Then just get batch by batch? Over time it will average out.

I am doing some DCA. Looking for some opportunities.

Checking their recent share price compared to now. Seems like a good time to go in.

Then again pass performance is not a guaranteed for future performances.

I bought TNB shares when it was RM10.76.

I thought it will not go down beyond RM10.

Foreign shareholding for TNB has significantly reduced by 5.55% from 18.42% (Dec 2019) to 12.87% (Dec 2020).

This is another reason for TNB to go South🙈

“Despite the disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and the MCO, TNB has remained operationally stable and recorded respectable financial performances with good returns to its valued shareholders.”
