QUOTE(TheWandererX @ Dec 15 2010, 01:33 AM) don't worry, school syllabus won't change much and only worry when u're joining competitions tat required heavy autoCAD(which requires more RAM than fast processor speed). Engineer on i5 should be enough but it will be a plus point to get i7 package. It's best if u can upgrade to 3 years warranty since u're trying to hold it for 4 years. |

err, actually 4GB is sufficient for me, but 6GB will allow u to handle more things at once. Based on site reviews, when u're doing hardcore work, with i5 i don't think u can get more than 3 hours. Anyway, GC and processor determine ur rendering speed. IMO i7 + 9 cells would be a good 1.

If u want extra ram, is better to buy from 3rd party IMO. 4GB only costs RM298. based on following topic. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1070145

QUOTE In short, Sandy Bridge is going to rock our world, but a bit more speed is not worth delaying your notebook purchase for over 6 months. I think the effect on laptop will be only increases in battery life. Not worth to wait. |

QUOTE(TheWandererX @ Dec 30 2010, 12:49 AM) Noise problem? The pop sounds? It's normal, because of the subwoofer. The laptop cuts power to the speakers when not in use and then reconnects it when needed. Try this on a 2.1 or 4.1 speaker set, and you'll understand what I mean. are you sure about this? only left speaker got noise problem The subwoofer is very, very big magnet, and it has to discharge & charge the current in it before use and turning off. |
