CPU options: Intel Sandy Bridge, from i3-2310M dual-core all the way to i7-2820QM quad-core.

Graphics options: 1GB discrete card - no info on model (could be NVIDIA or AMD).
2GB discrete card - no info on model (could be NVIDIA or AMD).
Intel 3000, built into the CPU.

Optical drive: 8X DVDRW, 6X BluRay - Tray Loading

RAM options: 1GB, 2GB, 4GB - all 1333MHz

Battery options: 6cell 56WHr, 9cell 90WHr

WLAN options: Intel 1030, WLAN b/g/n and BT3.0+HS (Yes, WLAN and BT in a single mini-card).

The L502X will come equiped with a subwoofer to give the speakers a little oomph.

The Bluetooth is now Broadcom BCM 2070 supporting BT3.0.
The Chiclet style keyboard will be offered with backlight and non-backlight options.

Added on January 5, 2011, 6:21 pmThe XPS L701X (or more simply known as the XPS 17) is barely out and already there's a replacement coming out.

Meet the new Dell XPS L702X 17" multimedia laptop, which will have either a 3D LCD or Multi-Touch LCD. Unfortunately you can't have both, so you'll have to choose one.

Those who like the Chiclet-style keyboards will be happy to know that it's available with an optional backlight.

Graphics options include NVIDIA GT 440M 1GB or NVIDIA GT450M 3GB, with Optimus technology.
The L702X will be offered with either 2 or 4 memory slots, for a max total of 16GB DDR3.

Here's the specific break-down:

LCD options are as follows:
1. 17.3" 3D LCD, 1920x1080, TrueLife glossy panel, White-LED (to be provided with 3D shutter glasses).
2. 17.3" 2D LCD, 1600x900, TrueLife glossy panel, White-LED.
3. 17.3" 2D LCD, 1600x900, TrueLife glossy panel, White-LED, with Multi Touch screen (to be provided with digitizer).

GPU/Motherboard options are as follows:
1. NVIDIA GT 440M 1GB, 2 RAM slots, with 3D support.

3. NVIDIA GT 450M 3GB, 2 RAM slots, without 3D support.
