Hi all,

i've been using Dell XPS for many years now, since 2008 if not mistaken. Feel great using XPS and when i use other brand even with same specs, it just doesn't feel as good as XPS.

Recently i notice there are a slight uneven on my XPS 13 around the Z, X, Windows and Alt keys. That particular area seem like slightly "bengkak" but so far all 4 keys still functioning. Below the area where i circle in red.

Anyone having the same issue? Is it battery problem? Why it happen?

Do you still have any warranty on this? You may be able to ask them if this is common and if anything can be done about it.

Got a laptop on Dell's Refurbished website before. You can check it out here. But don't think they have one that old. I asked them before buying and they said generally their units are a year or just less than 2 years old. You can check out the XPS 9370 on their website for a pretty good price.

Usually due to battery bloated. If i were you i will quickly dismantle it to ascertain it. If you leave the bloated battery unattended too long, it will crack open your bottom cover possibly damaging other components too .

Anyone had this problem before?

My CPU on my 9570 is clocked at 0.79 Ghz and everything seems super sluggish. Can't really do anything with it, any known fix?

Open bottom case and unplug battery connector for 10sec.
Then issue solve.

Suspect USB-C related issue

The main advantages of X1 Extreme are less quality issues and hiigher QC. Not specs. Higher capacity doesn't 100% mean more battery life

XPS 15 is plagued with issues - for years. Never recommend it (the iGPU model is still OK but not available in Malaysia). Not to be confused with XPS 15 9575 2 in 1 which is decent but I hate the non-upgradeable RAM and high price
