I update at MFM but mfm these days not so friendly & receptive anymore. Many of the POI in Penang are out of date - example business change name and service, are not updated for 2 years!
Android GPS Software, What is your pick?

Perhaps less people contributing due to current device more on user applications not contributor...Many of the POI in Penang are out of date - example business change name and service, are not updated for 2 years! With Mobile XT you can mark POI and upload it to Garmin Mapsource for ease your contributing to those site while software like X5 didn't allowed you to do that. Until now I never find way to key-in coordinate... |

Before this i'm using papago x5. But now i'm trying Waze and incredibly it is awesome! can interact with other waze user for any info surrounding the area. Only use 2mb/used (navigation). Cute UI somemore. hehe. just my 2 cent.

Waze is not bad, but I don't like the idea of the app showing others whether I am home or not.
Because I can see other waze users around my area, and to be honest it isn't safe. |

Actually during the first time im travelling with Waze, i dont even know its using my data packet...Until last time im from Shah Alam coming back to my home, I disable my data packet and suddenly Waze doesn't work...Ohh demm i'd say.... Its a nice apps by the way but still, GPS apps doesnt really compulsory to rely on network (packet data)... I need them to navigate only...Thus maps and navigation function is already nice for me |

But as for me who is not from kl/sel will need navigation. Waze is not bad but it required data packet is a bit let down. But maybe that is for the report which is on the go. Yeah thats right...I always hope someday Waze will came out with a new version that not require data packet...In the end, it all depend on the user itself. Hihi. Until now navigation in my phone is only Papago, Waze, GPS Aids.... Papago X5 sometimes crashing but not too frequent...Just once after you open up, and after that no more... But from what I noticed, samsung devices are pretty slow with catching up with the satellites...The first time I use the GPS function on my phone (Galaxy W), it was like half an hour waiting for satellite hook up... Thats why im using GPS Aids...With GPS Aids the time to hook with the satellite increased drastically... So my procedure everytime before I launch my GPS apps...I will go with GPS Aids first, test the signal and see how much satellite available and its signal....Now usually it needs about 10 sec - 1 minute.... |

Well, I'm not sure, because I can't really check myself right? lol, but I can see others on the map in residential areas. There used to be a 'ghost' feature where ur location is completely hidden. But can't find it now.

Hi guys I saw thay Sygic (Malaysia & Singapore) is sale now at USD 14.99 (before promo its 16 euro), so now its roughly RM47, savings of at least RM16. In buying better use USD for lowest conversion rate compared to euro and gbp.
