Do vitamin E heal or fade the scars? or do you have any idea how to heal it? coz i have lots on my leg due to skin sensitive.

i had been doing online research and the feedback is not convincing. some say can cure some say no effect at all. hope to get some ideas/feedback/solid answer from fellow lyn. thx!

last time i used a patch to heal my scar but it didnt work...maybe it differs from each person

base from my exp...vitamin e can cure scar... but it take time. ...try apply vitamin e oil on scar...& take vit e supplement everyday.

not bio oil...emm forgot the name... u can search at the pharmacy... try find the vit e oil highest IU...

note:
IU is value of the oil (International Units, 100 IU is equal to 67 mg for natural vitamin E and 45 mg for synthetic) may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer..

yeah, from what i heard it can heal scar..

it depends on the severity of the scar as well.
if it is a small, shallow scar, it might heal completely.
if the scar is very deep, it might take longer.
but yeah, using vitamin E oils does help on healing scars.
iinm, it has anti-aging effects as well.

Yea, vitamin E is supposed to be good for promoting rejuvination and healing of damaged skin tissue. I was told this myself by many doctors after some surgeries I have experienced. You can find pure vitamin E oil in capsule form, in the "vitamins" section of the pharmacy. This is meant for eating, but you can break open the capsule and rub it on the skin. It can help reduce and heal scars, but depending on the severity and age of the scar not completely.

I think someone mentioned Bio Oil earlier. I prefer this to Vit E because its a mixture of not only Vit E but other skin healing ingredients. I personally used it and believe it helped my surgical scar, to heal faster and more 'light'. However I purchased it in Australia and am unsure if it's available in Malaysia.

Is there any evidence or research done that show that vitamin E can heal damaged skin tissue? Other than heard it from doctors? Please provide some reliable sources or links.

from what i heard, yea vitamin E is good for the skin.
but i use it mainly to heal dry skin instead. from experience, it take long time to heal scars.

for scars, its better to go to doctors and get a prescribe cream or something to use. there was one i use last time for scars and it work well for me.

aloevera also heard that its good for skin. but i'm not sure good for what. i normally just mix pure aloevera gel into my home made masks. thats all.

Yes it can heal and fade scar. I have tested but with Colonial Dames 35000 I.U . Highest IU is better
You can get it at local guardian store. I'm not sure whether every store got it or not.

Vit E may help a lil. I had a scar on my knee, fell down years ago. I used the vit E but it only help reduce my scars a lil then i tried laser treatments. I can see big difference but not cheap la.

A few things which MIGHT help:
- Vit C to help the skin use collagen for skin repair.
- Collagen
- Omega 3 fatty acid (fish oil, flax seed oil, olive oil). Eat LOTS of them, and you'll have better skin.
- Strong antioxidants (e.g. OPC from pine bark extract) to help reduce the dark spots of the scar.
- Probably topical aloe vera on the scar.

All these will take very LOOOOONG time to see an improvement. Probably 6 months to a year.

I've seen how amazing Vit E and aloe vera work... they're really very good for healing scars.
My bro had his first chicken pox just a week before starting his training as air steward (u know how important looks r for them), and 1 week time before was crazy. So need to wait it heal and stuff like that. on the third day, when chicken pox stopped adi - fast cus took the herbs to stop it. then left only scars. Can u imagine how serious the scars were? my bro went to get vit e oil from guardian, as well as vit e oral supplement. they really work so fast on the day I sent him to airport, he looked like he didn't have chicken pox at all, perfect enough to go training. So yeah, I truly believe in vit E. Aloe vera is very good too. no need what collagen kinda stuff. those things won't work when u stop taking them. vit E and aloe vera, both cheap and work well

you can try a cosway product that i always rely on. its call " Rose Hip Oil "
it cure on scars, but of course you must apply it everyday.

15ml for around <RM40 kind expensive. and it heal for pimple, when you apply on it the next day your pimple will go back . haha which means flatten.

I just tested some rose hip oil (not cosway) yesterday.. it feels a lot lighter than vitamin e oil.

have u tried tea tree oil for scars. it's really effective. go read up on it.

both vitamin E and vitamin C can heal scar really fast n effective! u need to be patient bcoz these things arent made by the god!

I really love vitamin e oil! A friend of mine recommended me this oil for scars and also as moisturizer. I had read so many different opinions...I wasn't sure about the results, but now I'm happy using vitamin E oil on my face, my skin is feeling better.
