Did you try the 50mm f/1.8 at the shop? That one 1 shot is enough 

load up ur gun with more "bullets" then shoot here later... as I also looking for more 550D results... 

You should've at least try that 60D, maybe your mum will change her mind? It's a long term investment, won't hurt to invest a little more if you really like photography. Like my friend, got the 550D at first, later feel the limitation as he use, then he got the 50mm f/1.8, quite satisfied already, later tested the 60D, one shot enough, he say he wanna upgrade..... Not even use for 2 months his 550D.

If the camera is really for your mom right? u wont take canon 60D. The weight is very heavy so if u use 550D u notice its light weight and when u take 60D u notice its heavy due to the body material

Those 7K plus and 10K plus are pro camera, Full Frame. Canon also have same one, like 5D Mark II around 8K, which is Full Frame. Then the higher end like 1D Mark IV, etc.

60D is mid-range, it have more pro controls, like top LCD, buttons to set those features/functions like pro camera. 550D is same like D3100, entry level with very simple controls, mostly set through LCD and target for entry level users. You'll feel the difference when you play with those mid-range or above, which have more controls.

From my experience it depends on the individual not everyone want to go pro level. To reach that level the add on wont cost that cheap. Some just want to be in entry level take nice photos and thats it. Futhermore sifu said the camera is for mom so i dont think she gonna buy a L lens in future to take family photos.

Yeap its also depending on our sifu budget. He said 4K his budget so must be within. True but no matter what its his mom camera if really its his mom not his birthday present camera.

got alot gears doesnt mean professional.  I spoke to a few they not really pro pro just the gear make them sound pro you need creativity . When u talk to pro level make sure u have alot funds they will brainwash u like hell. So i do not recommend talk to pro until u yourself reach that level. Ask for photography opinion can but not gears.

Like Lyn got some sifu so called pro with alot gears u talk to them very arrogant in the photography section.

Guys,quick question here..if i'm using data plan,can i surf or fb-ing with N8 just like iphone or bb?n how is the performance of the web browser?battery?Thinking of trading my 3gs with N8..is it worthy in terms of web browsing n social network? Thanx in advance!
