i think that's the wrong way to react when suddenly got car in front of u.
braking is one thing, another thing is a quick look at rear mirror and steer to another lane to avoid hitting it..

even if u hit other car on the other lane when u switch lane to avoid, u will still cause less damage instead of hitting the car in front of u..

that's why I said banging cars at the side will cause less damage than hitting front..

hitting front high chance of causing death, hitting side cause more cars damage and injury only, no death..
