Guys, Im itching to upgrade my 2.1 to froyo, but thought of upgrading my microSD card first. What speed of card is recommended? does it make a difference between class 4 and 6 or 10?

hi guys, i am on v3 rom and actually i sucessfully use the app2sd to ext 3 on my xt, but i have problem, when i use ext 3, my phone will often freeze when coming out from standby.....when i press power button to turn on from standby mode, only the 4 touch button light up but not my screen, then have to take out battery.....
i try to remove the app folder from sd-ext(install app on internal memory), then everything is good.
last time use honeycomb rom, then use link2sd also same problem.
any possible causes? micro sd card problem???
i love the v3 rom with swap, so fast the phone response, now the only problem is cant use app2sd....
do you hv dalvik-cache folder on your sd-ext?...if hv you need to delete..just create app folder only..
ok ...now create app folder n reboot..if happen again something wrong with your ext..need to re create ext3 partion....

no idea with link2sd bcoz never use b4.. im just testing link2sd to make sure it support my rom...im a lazy person so i prefer automatically move like app2ext...hehe..

What brand ur SD.. I think brand make the different..bcoz seriously I'm only using 16g Kingston class2..so far running great without single problem...plus my writing n reading speed quite fast when do running test.

I have the same problem. Initially I had this problem a week before and I sent in my phone for repair. The tech guys did a software reset and everything was ok.
So I flashed to v4 and oops the problem is here again.
Maybe its something to do with Froyo?
For those got problem with wifi after v4 try this buid prop http://db.tt/s62pYk6 Copy to \system...reboot
Guys ..later will upload patch for ram ...bcoz suddenly my xt reboot on swap ..it happened 2 times when I closed fruitninja and YouTube...even only once but I'm.not satisfied with this then now I'm running new patch ..swap more stable..
Any1 tried the GalaxyXTv4 theme? I am currently using darkfroyo theme, after appying GalaxyXTv4 thru update, cleared dalvik and cache, the theme still remain on darkfroyo, only the apps from GalaxyXTv4 changed to blue colour...any advice on this?
khal, is the launcher.apk in system\app is the default launcher? i think previous miuixtoptimized rom not so much big size file...can i delete it? its correct bcoz low memory in phone we unable to update some of the theme....mine also having the problem
another thing, why in this rom (persona red) there is Maps 'running' in background? previous rom i don't see it?
yes u can delete launcher.apk..for the map running gud for the gps lock signal..but actually i never observe with apps running on the background b4 so no idea..sorry..
Guys ..tomorrow amerudin will up the v4 thread....and lingch can close thus thread once V4 up..amerudin already compiled n coding all the latest info... Guys..I never sell my xt even I go for new gadget later..hehe..
