Hi all.Im a new XT720 user here..First question.How to check whether this phone have rooted or not?Since i bought it 2nd hand..Thanks.

my guess is that 'froyo' firmware is the test version for motoroi. hd recording is smoother, looking good...

Played with it just now, can't be rooted by any means I know of too. Universal androot won't work obviously.

Which means, stock 600mhz. Bummer.. Would have to wait till someone gets it rooted in order to fully enjoy this then

Try install teminal from market and run "su" without quotes from CLI.

Added on December 22, 2010, 11:42 amBro Khal, can try to grab the camera.apk or something from froyo and use it on our current eclair. See if it works better.

I Donno bout u guys but since I was on starhub and now on us, this problem exist, my data connection always get cut off.. I need to turn airplane mode on and off a few times per day.. sighhh.. stock or modified sbf still the same.. wonder why.. when I'm in the office I normally use ebuddy and my phone to browse the web and Facebook cuz this damn company block everything...

yeah... was about to ask the same thing.. possible to rip out the camera.apk? thats my only problem with my XT720 at the moment.. camcorder sucks..


BTW, it's official now, motorola is abandoning all MILESTONE XT720 worldwide, leaving us with official Eclair rom only, which means they lied that XT720 will get froyo when it was launched..
We will never have any official Froyo rom. only korea will get froyo for XT720 in the whole world..
I will NOT recommend moto to anyone EVER for this..

no problem, if motoroi got it for sure the hackers community will work their magic and we will have froyo for our xt in no time

true to certain extent, and thats the best it could get.. sad though that there will not be any official support..
its more of me stucked with this phone that moto chose to abandon, and find a way to make the most out of it without moto's support which each and everyone of us actually paid for when we acquired the phone..

i dont need froyo for my xt...hehehe...even with eclair i can do all stuff that froyo machine can do...my camcoder is gud enough for me...120++ apps with internal memory left 80mb also is enough for me...mkv 480p playback is awesome on my ext running eclair....hehe....i dont want froyo...i want gingerbread on my next !!..hehe....at least moto is value buy with the quality of hardware n tough enough for me.....

wat apps u installs o? still hv so many space d... i got 25+ games installed now left 30 mb only

sh install_use_busybox.sh r u use this for app2sd....

I have around 100 apps + games installed. Left around 115mb.
