3. plug in
4. Create a new connection
5. set DNS (streamyx connection) 202.188.0.133 (preferred), 202.188.1.5(alternate)
6. connect to the internet.

Err i've got some questions regarding my line. Last time it was abit better until now. God damnit i cant live with this laggy line.

Line State Connected
Modulation Multi-mode
Annex Mode ANNEX_A
Max Tx Power -38 dBm/Hz
SNR Margin Downstream-15dB Upstream-13dB
Line Attenuation Downstream-4dB Upstream-2dB
Data Rate Downstream-8160kbps Upstream-864kbps

This is the info from the adsl monitor in my DSL-G640T router.

Currently used by 5 people. Like 2 months ago, the line is super stable. I can play battlenet without lagness.
But now whenever im in battlenet, people complain that my games are laggy. Lag spikes smile.gif I suppose you know what that mean ?

What causes frequent lag spikes ??

Btw im living in a condo if that makes any difference at all doh.gif
Previously the line is also very smooth until this new semester, its all the opposite ! >.<

EDIT : Im using 1 mbps package tongue.gif

QUOTE
Line Attenuation
Measure of how much the signal has degraded between the DSLAM and the modem. Maximum signal loss recommendation is usually about 60dB. The lower the dB the better for this measurement.
> 20dB and below is outstanding
> 20dB-30dB is excellent
> 30dB-40dB is very good
> 40dB-50dB is good
> 50dB-60dB is poor and may experience connectivity issues
> 60dB or above is bad and will experience connectivity issues
is it me or you or him ?

2. Tested speedometer with download and upload. Guess what I got ..
Download Speed 1025.68 41.59 24.66 197.28
Upload test did not start due to timeout ... Damn tmnut I'm phoning them in a while after this post
3. LAG LAG LAG AND LAGS AGAIN !!
4. I can't connect to the internet for more than 24 hours already ... for more than 5 times in a month. Reported yesterday and they said it's the cable. I hope no more of these happen again.
5. FRUSTRATION
