QUOTE(heavenhell @ Jun 29 2011, 02:36 AM) Hi all , I am currently doing master degree (chem eng) in uk uni and graduating soon in sept. I am interested in working for oil n gas company and if possible working offshore. However I dont have any experience yet , so should i firstĀ apply for internship to get some experiences or I can apply straight for fresh grad job ? Hope to hear from some of you guys thanks. Try local O&G co. such as Kencana, Sapura, Petra, MMHE, and etc as they employ lots of fresh graduates but I warn you that basic pay might not be that good for fresh grad. The offshore allowance which boost your salary. After 1 - 2 years, eventually your basic pay will be doubled and you can demand higher salary! Sadly to say for chemical engineers have not much offshore exposure for them because they are mostly office base supporting the offshore operation. Only if there is major problem at offshore then they will be mobilize. If you able to get in to drilling or pipelaying then it will be a different story as the pay should be very high but this co. mostly require mechanical and civil engineers. QUOTE(kr4k3n @ Aug 20 2011, 02:11 PM) how about CSR? its also the engineering career path? im completed my degree in mechatronic engineering. recently ive been offer a job which is CSR. at first they told me i was offered graduate engineering. then when i come to interview , they told me that my position is CSR. up to now, im still now sure abt that which make me unsure abt my future career path in engineering. CSR normally held experience personnel...at least for than 10 years exp. I believe you are offered deputy CSR. I would not encourage to go for it as you wont learn much technical skills rather you learn more about marine issue, project and safety management. From DCSR promoted to CSR require roughly 5 years of working exp. If you cant find any technical skills job, just try it out rather than sitting at home doing nothing. If you are more interested in technical skills, advice you to go for FE or FSR or Comm. Eng. After 5 years exp, you can become CSR bah...no worries.

It is called fast crew boat (FCB) or you can use chopper to go oil rigs or platforms. It depends on the distance from shore, if is very far eg. 3-4 hours boat ride than mostly client will use chopper instead of boat. Normally contractors use boat lar...cut cost Added on October 15, 2011, 9:23 amAnyone heard of jurong shipyard?hows the working environment and annual bonus?
