I am E&E and managed to join O&G company but have to admit it is most likely due to luck and right timing. Just keep trying and dont give up.

I tried for long time to get into O&G industry but always fail. And during my last try, I managed to land an interview and they hired me on the spot. I had no experience before and there was no technical questions at all during the interview. So that was luck and right timing. haha

All I can say is to keep trying and maybe one day you will get your chance.
