Hi all, I was graduated in PE from UTP. Worked with a company as a Sales Engineer for a year. And now I have resigned and looking for a new job. I prefer a more technical job, that's the main reason why I quit (other than a few). Any suggestion for any vacancy? It's quite tough looking for a job now huh?

Hi guys, just wanna ask for your opinion. What's the career prospects of a mud logger under geoservices?

I've got a degree in chemical engineering and dunno whether i should work as a process engineer or mud logger...

Thanks!

Dunno about now but few years ago mudlogger is the lowest paid position on rig. Prospect wise if you really good than you can be a wellsite geologist, quite good interms of payment. But thats about it.

Actually i've applied to join so many o&g company but its even hard to get the chance for interview. Maybe because need to compete with other experienced workers and graduates that graduated in the o&g course itself.

I read about INSEP program like PCN-NDT and ANST-NDT. Not really know the difference between those two. Is it worth for me to join such program? mayb thats the best way to be like more 'market' to join the industry? hmm.gif

Topside.. Rotating equipment. Gas turbine in aviation is no different than gas turbine in offshore, be it for power generation or prime mover for export gas compressor

iinm, most employer prefer to hire candidates with an anst cert instead of pcn cert. one of my friend who is an inspection engineer for sgs told me about this. maybe u can google more about this?

i'm a cswip 3.0 cert holder. the visual inspection examination was kinda hard because the sample they gave to u would be on plastic moulded sample, not a real steel sample. u gotta have a good visual technique to pass it because both samples with same defect look kinda different.
