developments of custom roms for this device is very rapid. we enjoy 2.2 Froyo stable now..and 2.3 is coming.even my friends on brand name devices still struggling on stable roms..

definitely not you regular csl
i dont really care about the brand..just the quality of the phone

but hey...if money is not a factor you can always get a better,brand name device.. meh...

Im using stock spice ROM 2.1 and seem like not having battery problem.. idle from midnight until morning only drop 10% only..

I cannot flash to any custom ROM yet till now, try firetrap screen don respond, try CM6 & CM7 still failed to update on recovery mode..hmmm

Maybe mine is earlier model, seem difficult to flash..

Cannot backup ROM using Rom Manager also

1.My phone at 1st is official 1.6(CSL logo) version
Then, update it to SPICE official 2.1 version

2.Install z4root(permanent root success)

3.Install ROM manager and flash clockwork recovary.

4.Try to backup ROM using ROM manager failed.

5.Try to install ROM from SD failed

6.Then install SUT 1.7 on pc and try update using .nbo file, success but touchscreen not working.

Is there anything that i miss??

now i'm succesfully flahsed with CM 7 built 27. quite stable compare with built 10 that previously use...

i did't wipe clean or set back to factory so all the setting/apps/data are unchanged..

changes that i can see is now have option to set handphone as wifi access point which i cannot find in built 10.but dont have time to try that features yet..

then just install custom rom rite??

tried 2.2 custom rom and not the stable...sd card suddenly removed...had to go back to ori 2.1 rom....
